Review #80

My previous comment was delete. I had said
"Three words, IllWill.
STOP. FUCKING. TRYING.
You can't animate. And you're not funny.
At risk of sounding stupid, you absolutely don't know what it's like to be a smoker. You're completely unaware of the chemical processes that go on in the brain. Yes, I'm serious. The brain receives the signals from nicotine and gives smoking as a reward. Those who have smoked for a while undergo the same withdrawal as those who didn't. IT'S HARD. People TRY, and don't always WIN. They can't help that they CAN'T FIGHT THEIR ADDICTION, which is more powerful then Morphine and Heroin.

GAHH. STOP TRYING."

I now come to more calmly objectify this cartoon and explain myself. IllWill, your works are funny. However, they are only funny to a select group of people. You need to improve your sense of humor and make it more appealing-as in, you have to expand on it, find OTHER funny things. Things YOU might not find funny, but things others DO. You also need to do something other then make a squirrel jump around with motion tweens. Your drawing style is unique. USE IT. Don't just tween something half to death and then replay it! As a flash artist myself, I have to say that you infuriate me being so popular with such little effort. You have to do some FBF, you have to try to be funny, you have to TRY to do something other then mass tweening. If you can do that, then you will be better.
The best I can say is that, as I mentioned, your art style is VERY unique. You are slightly funny. But you've got to expand and you've GOT TO TRY. Also, your Preloader is good.

Pff...

Foamy jumped the shark a long, long, LONG time ago. It's no longer funny to watch an animated gray squirrel who does nothing but rants about subjects that are actually far more complicated than you summerize with a few swear words...
Introduce plot to the series...

Abysmal

In my deleted review, I dared to call you a hack. Your legion of tasteless tripeheads flagged my review enough to have it deleted, so I'm going to post supporting evidence to my statement.

1. Your flash has NOT evolved. Good series, like for example, RAB or Xombie, has changed and improved over time. RAB 18 is vastly different from RAB 1. You, however, feel that serving the same packaged crap over and over again without anything different about it is perfectly fine. Clearly it works for you, but you're going to miss out on the larger fanbase, and the ones you do have WILL move on to something that DOES evolve.

2. Rants are overdone. Leave the rants to Lowtax. A viable plot instead of the same boring observational humour would be good, but as always, you seem incapable of it. Hire writers or something.

3. The same format is going to be your death sooner or later. Krinkels (of Madness) made Madness Interactive and suddenly, Madness was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Can we expect to see any interactive Neurotically Yours games or adventure or something? Or am I going to be Jack's complete lack of surprise when you next release Foamy Fan Mail XCCXLXLXIII?

So let's recap. You're using the same motion tween since you first discovered flash. You're not exploring any avenues for alternate forms of humour and you've shown no desire to expand Foamy's repertoire. You've shown either unwillingness or inability to improve the series by trying new concepts.

Foamy had potential. And still does. You can do so much with this franchise that it's mind-blowing. It would be a waste if you didn't take advantage of it. Some artists would kill to have this kind of popularity, and it's appalling to see it wasted like this.

So have I made myself clear this time? Or am I being abusive?
