Kirbeh says that Springfield is in Illinois, but it's really Viriginia. If you've watched the episode when Homer and Marge go to Flordia to get away from the kid's but say their going to that other place (I forgot where), the kid's chase em down yada yada yada. But on the scene with the United States map and the airplan going from place to place showing Homer and Marge trying to get away from the kids and showing the places they go, it starts out at Virginia. So the locatoin of The Simpsons is Virginia and not "Unknown" or Illinois.
