EDIT: Thanks for frontpage and to all those who voted more than a 3!

v2.0 is in the works! It's going to be pretty sweet, including many different sounds. You will be able to select which instruments you want to use from different sound libraries. The sound speed will now be controlled by BPM. There will also be a much improved portal. I am also working hard to make it as lag-free as possible.

Hello. BeatBox lets you create and share beats, and then submit them to a portal where others can listen to and rate them! Includes a top list with the best scoring beats.

I'm not sure how this is going to work on NG - we'll see! Just a beta test. If the beta test works out fine I won't submit a final.

If you have suggestions for features or new instruments, please leave a review! Also report any bugs please.

Great concept.

But anything that allows any random person to submit has to have certain measures taken for it (just like NG's own portals do):
-Date/time of submission to prevent plagiarism
-Some way to limit spam submissions ('cause that's pretty much all I see on the 'newest' page at any given time; beat mixers are not for making text, believe it or not)
Less necessary, and less controllable/possible, but still would be nice:
-More voters to combat snipers :(
-Some way to add reviews? (and some way to limit spammers, e.g. 1 review per person on each submission)
-Less lag (I know you mentioned it but I just want to reinforce it)
-More instruments (guitar, piano, and bass with notes would be really sweet, but I understand if this is just a beat mixer, since sampling different pitches would be painful; there are quite a few things you could add though, like snare, different kicks, and maybe even some FXs)
-Ability to change volume of each note

The mixer interface could use work too, even if all the things mentioned above won't be added. I had a hard time understanding beat dividers appearing every 3 boxes. Maybe a way to choose measure length before you start editing, and add a manual way to add triplets instead?

I guess I've been rambling, but all in all, this is great for a beta, with a nice concept that could go somewhere if you keep building on it.
