Hey everyone! It's been a while since I last submitted something, so I figured I should put something up. This one was alot of fun to do, I've been experimenting with scanning hand drawn art into flash and stuff like that, so the result is what you're about to see. The general idea of this one is that if you take a stroll, you never know where you're going to end up. It's 3257 frames long, new record(!), 135.7 seconds, running at 24 fps. Hope you like it as much as I do! By the way, my name is actually Tucker, so.. that's why is says that.

It sucked me in and wouldn't let me go... then it finished and I was free again, and all the wiser for the experience.
The contrast of the vector character interacting with all of the scanned background elements was interesting and I loved the effect you used when the bird god took hold of him.

This is by a large margin my new favourite flash on Newgrounds. I love the simplicity, the art and the choice of music.

When the little man started running along those steps and the music started, I knew it was going to be a lovely film. One of my favourite parts was when the man was running along that street of houses, I noticed the attention to detail when you made the closer houses fly by quicker. It also made me think about the little abstract city in which the man lives.

My absolute favourite was when the man was falling through the sky and to my relief, he catches an umbrella. There is superb timing with the music in the way that it changes from a faster pace to a slow piano tune. It completely changes the mood. I loved the bit with the staircase, mainly becasue you actually spent the time cutting out the pieces in between the banisters. The bit at the end was something I loved as well. The why in which the man just sailed away on that ornament, it's nice and cute.

All in all, a fantastic watch 10/10

In that case I think we need to make a journey film like this together some time!

"nice one"

that was a very nice animation... especially the graphics... they were excellent. this animation definitely proves how great your drawing skills are... very very impressive indeed. the animation itself was quite good too, had a nice concept to it and it offered some really good entertainment.

Author's Response:

Thank you, I really like drawing, and I appreciate knowing my... skills... are a-okay.

Thanks for the review

Finally something original. All we get around here now and days is crappy animations on subject way to overdone, yet this is a light in the darkness! Very unique choice of music and style of animation (the look of hand hand drawn pictures is what is really unique to me.... good job)
(savior of this flash)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, I really like hearing that my stuff is original and not crappy and not totally cliche.

Yay!
