To be productive in most RPGs you have to walking back and forth killing stuff, over and over again. I'm trying to make a game that actually gets you better at something. No need to save game, you keep the skills you earned. I wanted to post my progress, checkout the previous proof of concept.
Sprites from BS Chrono Trigger Character Library. First song is a clipped part of Costa del Sol from FF7. Battle music is from Xenogears. The other song is called Aldehide city from wild arms.
I can now make new maps and stuff without a huge amount of work, I'm still working on a character menu system for equipping items, and a system for using items to heal/attack in the combat system. I'll probably add something to make double digit and triple digit addition count for less. There will be all sorts of leves so kids and adults both can get a challenge.
