This tutorial will teach you how to set up your character for joint based animation. This technique can be used for any rotating limbs and joints.

"Could be better"
I've never used groups for figure animation because I don't think it's practical to have to go in and out of about 3 subgroups every time I want to move a joint. It's just as easy to move the limb to where it should be every time you rotate it.
The tutorial could have done with some screen shots from the actual program, and maybe some animated parts to correctly guide you through what you have to do. Also a button to turn off the music is a must for any tutorial.
Thank you I'll remember that in future projects
"Not really a game...."
Not really a game....
You're right, it's not a game. Unfortunately there are only two categories, "Movie" or "Interactive/Game", and this is not a movie. Being an Interactive tutorial I had no choice but to put it in with the games.
"A good tutorial."
A very informative tutorial. It taught me some new thing I didn't know how to do, and I'm sure it will do the same with many others. As far as it goes this is a very good tutorial that shows the information in a way that's easy to understand, and although that sub-grouping part at the end might be a little harder to understand than the rest in the eyes of some, this is a quality flash tutorial, good work.
Thank you for your review, I have edited this tutorial to try to make the end more informative.
