Not bad for a sequel

Hmmm well this game has some good points and some bad just like the original. I was disappointed i couldn't choose the symptoms of my virus anymore, but the realism of this one was a little bit better than the original (albeit somewhat annoying). Getting the virus to travel to the island nations is a little too difficult and the pure dumb luck thing kinda got on my nerves. I keep trying to bear in mind that wiping out all of mankind would not be an easy thing for a micro-organism to do but then again games that are TOO real aren't much fun are they?

As for graphics and sound they're a little above average in my opinion but not by much although i will say i did like the song in the background I thought it was an appropriate melody for the whole world dying but it got a little annoying. I suggest maybe a fake newscast or a statement from a political leader or two somewhere in the game to kind of break up the monotony. All in all a decent sequel if somewhat disappointing.

Hm - easier then the first.

The first one I had extream difficulty beating it once they shut down the transit. this is far easier. all you need to do is spend the intal 5 points to get your infecticality to lvl 3; then end your turn (providing the guy with the virus dosn't die) infect the rest of your country, once you do that, infect boardering countrys and the airport. and from there repeat the "Infect fully ; travel " thing.
Don't upgrade your leathalcality untillyou have ever country infected. cuz you need your people infected, and alive. not dead and useless, and unless someone in greenland, or australia gets a cure before your luck allows you to fly there, you should wipe out humanity with a swift blow.

In closing ; Fun. The upgrading your virus does seem a little difficult.

This Pandemic game was a disappointing. It's decent, whilst the old Pandemic game was perfectley balanced.

The new options in the game diden't justify the old game. Even though it were much simple,it just diden't keep me entertained like the old one.

Even the graphics felt much more smooth and professional than the new Pandemic.

Sometimes simple is best.

On the other hand i give you credits for implenting new gameplay to the game.

When it's all put together, i can simply say it's a decent game.

great game!

hehehe, isn't is lovely to wipe out the entire world population?
this is better then the original game, at least that's what i think.
too bad i couln't destroy all of humanity, america and canada got immune, so i called my virus: george.W bush.
too bad i scored too low, but i had fun anyway.
good job, keep it up

Not better then first

I was excited, when I see second Pandemic. But as I started, I realise the mutations panel desapear, and now there's only 3 dull params. That makes game looses much fun.
Insted of that there are new "strategical" options. It would be enough, but actions sometimes work at once, sometimes I heve to click about 5 times, sometimes nothing works.
Cures are also good idea, a rivalization with time, but attaking countries, with I was separated by water, was horrible. First, it was hard to infect airport, then a plane had to strike (sometimes it get back to home country). It's very annoying.
Asia should be rename to South-Asia.
So: It could be a great game, but some annoying stuff change it - fix it. It would be good, if mutations panel came back. Then Pandemic will be a perfect in every inch.
