3rd World Farmer is a really good strategy game with a political background.

The game was designed by the 3rd World Farmer Team http://www.3rdworldfarmer .com/About.html.

Neodelight.com liked the game and its cause and sponsored the game. If you want to do something good for mankind the 3rdworldfarmer website is a good place to start: http://www.3rdworldfarmer .com/links.html

Update:
I was sending back lots of emails with the 3rdworldfarmer guys and newgrounds to get the highscore to work but we did not succeed. If you want to post your highscores please play on www.neodelight.com/3rdwor ldfarmer
(Don't forget to click "full screen" on neodelight).

Great little Simulation, the random scenarios are nice even though they're not really good but a nice add in.
I beat the game in 23 days, wasn't easy trust me. The game wants you to lose.
---------
What I did was start off with corn, then corn with a little wheat.
Once i got $120+ get Cotton, and make sure you can get tools as well
Shovel and Scythe is good at first, don't get the Plow until you make $500+

Also make sure you send atleast one of your kids to school, and check everyone's health. I lost the daughter :/ and from the looks of it someone will always die. once you have a good income of $350+

A WELL is a must! helps from your crops dying.

Buy a Road, or Radio. It helps ALOT, and from then on, work on mixing your crops a bit, depending on price. But for me I sticked with ALOT of Cotton, and a bit of peanuts. Afterwards once your kid has maybe 6+ years in school make him head of family, helps make reasonable choices and from the looks of it helps with prices as well. Hope this helps guys, if you need help message me Fallenangels1992@gmail.com

Suberb job!

This game is well done. Simple game play, with a very real background to it. Took me a few turns to really get the hang of it, and figure out how to survive the sometimes constant yearly events that kept taking all my money, but definitely worth playing, if for no other reason than the political background/realism to it.

This was actually quite good, it took me like 59 turns because i was doing it badly actually in the start and in the middle of the game, but then right at the last 10 turns or so luck just switched to my side and i got enough money for everything that was needed to finish the game.
I was actually quite sad when my first generation of farmers died out one by one, but after a bit (around generation 2-3) you stop actually givig a damn about what happens to any one of them. The first ones i tried to give meds so they wouldn't die and i only bought them a couple or so times, the rest of the time it wasn't really needed. I am actually curious to know if the farmers can grow old (and if they can do their appearances change? How old can they get?).
Overall, one of the games i ever spent more time playing here in this site and that means it captivated me, it means it entertained me, it means you did something that 75% of every other game on Newgrounds didn't. And that earns you 5 stars from this humble idiot.
