Gain skills and experience as you fight to survive in a city filled to the brim with walking dead. Project Validus: Survival is a zombie blasting game which comes equipped with a sizeable arsenal of zombie owning weapons.
How long can you survive?
If the dimensions of the game are too big for your screen, increase your screen resolution.

This is my first game, I spent about 6 months learning the glorious actionscript while I made it.
Story mode is coming some time in the future.

Special thanks to Bobothehippo for his menu art and Mr Mo for sponsorship.

Well done!

I would've sent this through an e-mail, but I could find one for you guys, so i'll just suffer with this.

Plot: 10/10
I thought it was well written, and not just slapped together like an English essay. It told a nice alternative version of how zombies are formed. Kudos.

Graphics: 8/10
I ran it on Low quality, and even then it seemed good. A few ideas for the story version, if possible. It could use a bit more diversity in zombie types, and some destructable crap would be nice.

Sound: N/A
I didn't get a chance to listen to the music and SFX, so I can't give you points here. Stupid speakers...

Gameplay: 8/10
Again, good job. Nicely balanced, the upgrades help, and it is nice to see one having to worry about bleeding. The view range is frustrating at times, but it actually fits the game type. You shouldn't be able to see that much behind you...
but again, there are flaws. Perhaps having more weapons, like a pipe or a crossbow, or something. That, or turn down the damage of the Fireaxe, because I can get through most fights with just that.

Overall: 10/10
Despite the flaws, i'll probably still play this weeks from now...
god, I love zombies.

Thanks for you time.

Addicting

It was fairly addicting, i played it for about an hour, which is pretty good for me. Every now and then an author pops up with an outstanding game, and i think i may have just found one.

the good:
Great graphics
Enticing and well-thought out introduction
RPG level up elements(nice touch, by the way)
a variety of weapons that all are completely different
i could go on for a while, so i'll stop here.
The Bad:
Once the music was shut off it couldnt come back on
The shotgun loaded slow, and you couldnt change weapons or fire mid-reload
the song got annoying, no matter what you picked
even on easy, the zombies are running faster than you no matter how much you upgrade it. I couldnt outrun them with adrenaline
When the zombies get close, no weapons can hurt them, it's like once they enter your personal "bubble", they're invulnerable.
the AR was too inacurate.

However, all in all, this was a pretty freakin' sweet game. It gets my five any day. I can't wait to play the storyline mode, and i'll be awaiting other entries from you, as well.

-Bahamalama out.

great, but bad intro

The introduction text is obviously way too lengthy and summarizes badyl. It really seemed like you were summarizing what could be told over a series of games instead of one really uber long story.

And you didnt include enough details on and didnt go into depth on the story. this is really too vague and not enough details and reasoning behind the story.

You could also have included a "skip" function for the story atleast.

gameplay is pretty fun. The whole resolution thingie bothers me.
For those with monitors or video cards who cant display atleast 1024 by 768 cant view the entire flash in one screen, the top or the bottom may be cut off.

A more square-ish size might help with that.

But other than that great job!

:)

The intro plot is only the beginning of the beginning :P
