Gain skills and experience as you fight to survive in a city filled to the brim with walking dead. Project Validus: Survival is a zombie blasting game which comes equipped with a sizeable arsenal of zombie owning weapons.
How long can you survive?
If the dimensions of the game are too big for your screen, increase your screen resolution.

This is my first game, I spent about 6 months learning the glorious actionscript while I made it.
Story mode is coming some time in the future.

Special thanks to Bobothehippo for his menu art and Mr Mo for sponsorship.

Fix Braun

I thought everything was great in this, the way you set up the clips so that if you reloaded them when they had bullets in them you lost those bullets, you could upgrade your character, you could get headshots, even pick your music that you kill too. I noticed someone didnt know how to work past the bleeding problem, If anyone who ever plays this game gets hit by a zombie and it says they are bleeding (lower left of your screen) your life will continually run down, click the Q button to switch items until you are on bandages you need to use the bandages to stop bleeding and it will take 5-8 seconds for your character to fully wrap himself up, while he does you cant shoot. TO THE AUTHOR: Please fix the braun upgrade in the level up sceen it says its incomplete so you cant use it in the game, this looks like a really good feature, I do use the axe sometimes and the small upgrades to your character that it would do would make it interesting.

Good stuff

Nice game, I had a really great time playing it. The only thing that was pretty annoying was when you were "bleeding". It never seemed to stop and you would eventually die, inevitably. Any way to stop from bleeding? Keep up the good stuff!

Chrispington responds:

Use bandages!

It really bugs me when science fiction totally messes up the science part of it, but you did a pretty decent job judging by your intro/story-line. Certainly, bet than hippies freeing monkeys infected with "rage" (28 Days Later). The Style and Interactivity were awesome with the 3rd person perspective and the view scroll. Violence was good, a few more flying limbs or bloodier skull explosions always make a game better. The music was perfect for killing zombies. But there were a few bugs, and I could hit things with the axe if they got too close(also it would be cool if you could buy or find cool melee weapons). There is a lot you could do with layout but it was a very cool game in my opinion.

Chrispington responds:

Bloodier skull explosions are always good.

Great game!

This was a fun and easy to learn game that kept me playing and wanting to level up, the unbalanced pistol did take away from the overall difficulty though, but maybe less than 5 minutes of play led to an impossible part... I was stuck on one gun, in this case the AR, and I couldn't access the level screen, let alone pause the game, so I ran around getting what little ammo crates and AR ammo I could get and I held out by running all around the map. In the end I lagged out, because there were more than 50 zombies chasing me, luckily I picked speed as one of my upgrades before I was locked out of that screen. I simply couldn't control this lagging char, so I died. This was ok at the time, because I had been playing for what I thought was enough, but this would be rather annoying for someone who wanted to get a record...

Chrispington responds:

Yeah that happens occasionally when you mash the keys.

Thanks for the review.
