UPDATE: Thanks for the front page Tom!
Right, so anyway, most of the instructions are in the game. I would add that you can only queue up a single type of unit. Also in compaign mode there are passwords that you get every time you're between missions, so you can continue later. The password methodology is rather crude so if you figure out the "system" don't feel too proud

UNBALANCED
The idea is nice but wtf?? I first send a rempaging horde of soldiers to the enemy damaging and destroying all but one building, run out of cash, then wait for the painstakingly slow regeneration of funds to purchase a group of soldiers and then suddenly one enemy sniper can take out 4 of my foot soldiers? One enemy foot soldier takes out two of mine?
Once again, the idea is nice but balance the power of the units to each other and there should be some way to increase income.

too slow
maybe i wouldve given it a ten, or a nine, or an eight, but it was so boring that i didnt even play through to the parts that make people rate higher because it was so boring

lol
all i did on 1 of the rounds were build anti-tank missles
all that happend was my money went up..and there units got killed

strategy is useful
however
the alliance is expensive to use but proper planning and patience compensates hoever I would say the snakes are far better to use even with lower armor
