** fixed the highscores all works as normal now.
** fixed the timer error!
Hi, this is another game that I created in flash. Tell me what you think about it so review it, please. I put a lot of work into this game especially with the highscores so other people can try and beat each other. I enjoyed this game and hope you will too.

To play all you do is move the light with arrow keys, then type in the messages in the text box. You don't have to type in the numbers in front of the message e.g. 1)... you don't have to type in the 1) only the ...

Have fun!!

^^Good Points^^
This is a unique game. The game play gets progressively harder to find the phrases, and the time limit really makes it challenging. Good music and functionality of the game.

^^Needs Improving^^
It's a typing game, which isn't the best kind of game, especially when it is a slow paced one like this. Also, it would be nice if I didn't have to click to submit my answer each time. It would be much easier if I could just hit enter or something.

Thanks for the review, I just tried to do a unique idea, see how it works. Thanks for the improvements but I won't be making any changes to it as it is done and dusted but I will certainly take your ideas inot the next game I make.

Gets old fast

Maybe using the mouse to control the light would have been easier. I played this game for a few minutes and found myself getting bored quickly - the recipie for a good game includes addictiveness.

I'm not a fan of typing games, as I do enough of that already. Are you going to try and give us more games? If so, please can you try and give us something other than a move the searchlight game.

Thanks for the review. I just tried this unique idea to see how it works. I am going to make more games in the future and I have alot of different ideas for them so I don't think I will make another one like this.

Alright

-Good-
The idea of the game was pretty nice. Using the arrow keys made it kinda difficult rather then using your mouse. The menu was a nice addition. The music was alright bu got very repeditive.

-Bad-
The main problem I had was that it just got uninterested fast. Like I said the music got repeditive. Another thing that bothered me was that I had to highlight "Type your anser here" before typing in my anser which made it hard to quickly anser.

-Overall-
A decent game but got boring.

Thanks for the review. Like I said before, I just wanted to try out ideas. If I make another one, which I doubt, I'll try and make it more interesting.

A decent attempt

It was good, a nice idea.
But some people would hate it, people who can't type? People who are just plain stupid? The loop also must have put people off, it got very annoying.

It wasn't the kind of game that enfralled me, the subject was tedious. Perhaps it belongs in a classroom, not here on NG.

Thanks for the review. I get where your coming from and I just tried this unique idea to see what other people think about it. I got mixed opinions but atleast I tried.

Keep working on the mechanics.

It's certainly an idea I've not seen in a flash previously, but it just isn't much fun.

Neither 'scrubbing the area' to find the phrases, nor typing, is a particularly involving or interesting thing to do and the messages, graphics etc. aren't interesting enough to entertain. The speed of the 'light' makes the scrubbing dull.

Also, when I went to view highscores, it didn't work.

The music loop got irritating.

I played until level 6ish of the main game - I wasn't gonna torture myself with the others. Tried the highscoremode, finished a couple of levels, closed and reopened to see if the messages were always the same, then decided it was a pretty lousy mechanic since we can just find it all the first time, then quickly type on a subsequent attempt to get a faster highscore.

I applaud you for wanting to try a unique mechanic, but I think you should call this a failed experiment.

However, if you maybe made the light mouse-controlled and had the words stuff we needed to piece together without help, it may be a lot more interesting to play.

Abs55 responds:

Okay, i'll take your comments into consideration. Thanks for the review.
