Wow, thanks to everyone for the awesome reviews, and thanks to NG for the Tank Award nomination! Many people have been wishing for more features. I'm happy to say I'm working on Pandemic 2 at the moment, and it's feature list is massive. The game will make this (the original) look small and shallow in comparison.

Very interesting concept
Cool game. There should be way more interactivity, though. It would be nice to be able to actually control the spread of the virus.
If anyone's having problems, turn off all lethality upgrades except either "immune system" or "organ failure" (which are both invisible). Upgrade the hell out of the transmission section, making sure you get waterborne and airborne as soon as possible. Then, once every continent has been infected (this will happen extremely quickly if the virus' visibility is 0) max out everything, transmission and lethality. The world population will plummet ^^
Basically, you want to focus on getting people infected with a very mild and invisible virus until it's worldwide, then mutate it to make it as deadly as possible. Don't just crank up the lethality, or the governments will catch on quickly and close borders.

Awesome game!
But DAMN! This is always how it works:
I maximize infectivity while minizing lethality and visibility in the early game, and in the late game I maximize lethality as well, and every coutry but West Europe gets infected, then they close their borders...
DAMN!

loved it
really nice game. and for those who can't complete it. turn off al leathality and uppgrade infectivity by using transmission, then it's just to wait for the virus to go to all countries and when it have..... i think u can find that out yourself. and yea, uppgrade something on transmission before u remove leathality.

Addicting
I've Sent this game to about 5 freinds. they all come back saying the same thing "This game is freaking addicting, a real time waster.. and Western Europe seems to be god dam immune to everything I throw at them" The best I'v done is infect all except Africa and sometimes Asia..

It's okay but a little boring.
While I did not find this game that great there was a strange desire to complete it, which I did.
Many others have already said this but West Europe is for some reason very cut off from everywhere else. I kept losing because it was somehow not effected. When the virus started there, it never reached the U.S.. I have no idea why it eventually did get infected after a few tries.
There is 1 thing that made this game a little harder. If you have the virus upgrade page open and make a day to pass you have to close it and re-open it to make the information update.
