After countless months, Drakojan Skies is hereby, for better or for worse, finished.
I had to leave out most of the music to squeeze the file down to 9 megs.. The game might be updated every now and then with new stages and content. Check the forums for the latest updates.

Controls:

Arrow Keys - Movement
B - Boost
P - Pause
V (Hold down) - Shoot
C - Special Weapon
X - Secondary Weapon
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - Switch Secondary Weapon (if collected)
SPACEBAR - Launch Stage Weapon (if available)

"One of the best flash shooter games"

Everything in this flash is so professional and high above your typical flash game. this may be the best flash shooter I've ever played. The controls are tight and responsive, the animation is phenomenal, the background music is very fitting to a sidescrolling shooter and adds a depth of epic-ness to the story. The story by the way is also great and gives the characters a little bit of emotion.

This was a masterpiece. Sensational work.
About the only critique I could say is I wish there was medals on this :) perhaps in the future maybe an addition could be possible? I hope so ^_^

"Outstanding shooter."

I've always been more for horizontal shooters rather than vertical, and this one is flat out superb. It has a polish that so many old school flash game designs completely lack, and I can tell alot of time has gone into it.

The artwork is excellent at worst and jaw dropping at best , the controls and movement are spot on and there's plenty of game to go around and no skimping on big boss encounters. This game plus joy2key = shooter bliss.

"Very impressive."

9/10 since I'm not a fan of shooters. (full 5 on rating, though)

I wasn't listening to the soundtrack, so I can't score that... but everything else was top-notch. Except for the character illustrations... those seemed oddly out-of-place.

Great job with the ships, though.
Combat is very much like a shooter from the '80s I once played. However, that's not a bad thing.
