I don't know why anyone would actually be trying this anymore, but for those who do, don't bother with the extras.
This is the first level of the original Super Mario Brothers! However, there are 27 awards you can get by completing certain objectives. Go to the extras area if you're stuck. Enjoy!
Note: Awards are saved automatically when you return to the title screen.
z to run and throw fireballs, x to jump, arrow keys to move
What is the jump key and if you forgot to add one well please do.
lol i like how everyone is stilling messing with the old school versions but what was the point of having the first level almost exactly similair to the game? you couldve added anything just try to think of something new to go with it
DUDE! u constructed it so well! i mean it looks EXACTLY PIXEL FOR PIXEL the same as the game! i also love the idea of awards!
It was a pretty great game, but it kind of lags. Maybe the frams could go a little faster, unless it's just my computer
A decent idea.
I was really looking forward to thrashing the level a few times and unlocking everything but the gameplay was pretty awful.
Slow as hell, and you can't change direction mid jump or make quick turns both of which are pretty crucial to the Super Mario Series.
On top of that it was full of shameless advertising for some nooby arena game.
If you spent more time on the game and less time on self promotion it could have been really good.
Waaaaaaaaaaaay too slow and laggy.....and glitchy too, there were many times I would run and could not jump until re slowed to a stop.....but I Liked your idea....3/5
During the game it would not let you jump, and so I kept dying whithin the firt 5 minutes. Also, this is one of the most horribly slow games I have ever tried to play. This could have been a decent game, the idea was good, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Please fix the glitches, speed it up, and try again.
Laydi Nite
This a pretty accurate recreation of the original level (save for the missing Starman). My biggest complaint would be the speed of the game, just doesn't move like the game did. The slowdown did mae jumping a bit of a hassle since I wasn't used to that speed. Otherwise I think that this has some good potential.

I see some little changes ratio the original version , it's good.
But , it's exactly the clone of 1-1 World . You suceeded has to do one Super Mario Bros , why you don't create your own level ?
You could use the Super Mario 3 sprites for your game , or some custom sprites.
I know its just a copy of the classic super mario bros but seriously its the 21st century people if your going to remake a game at least amp it up a bit. As i said this game needs to be improved NOT copied.
All I can say is...TOO SLOW! That and very good sprite animation, clear images, good sound, over all really good.

it was a pretty fun mario game.... but very very slow. i tried this one with 2 different flash players on 2 different internet browsers and it was still slow... though with the most recent version, it wasn't as slow. the game itself was still quite fun though and it had a nice challenge to it... it was just slow going.

At the end of the first level, you just freeze up. There is no star man, it is VERY laggy, and its been over a year since you made level two...This isn't that good at ALL!
