The only reason I didn't score higher...

was because I wasn't able to finish the game. I think it had something to do with the cursor. No I don't mean my mouse button or anything about right clicking. Something with the cursor design made things slow and almost unplayable. I had to move the cursor just so the arrow key commands would make your character move, or your game make noise, or continue any of the animations at all. Whatever you added to the cursor (to make the multiple transparent cursor affect when moved) might be affect any other coding in your game.

Just one word.... "Sequel"

The graphics where good actualy ;), (how could i not like them if i'm still a big fan of finalfantasy VII :P). Generaly all the RPG's with a god plot and setting, are great in style, in this case it is greater than I at first imagine. Nice sound choice, realy loved it. Interactivity as in all RPG's is the most important feature, and you explored it well. So aftter this i've only one thing left to say, or even better ask: When is the sequel ready? Realy nice pice of work you got here. ;)

in response to the last review...

No flash games use right clicking as a control. Right clicking brings up a menu. that's not your problem. if you don't have the latest version of flash player, that's the problem for sure. I had no problem with it, by the way.

Quite some effort

The graphics were great, but I had it set to low to keep the pace fast. And even if anyone complains of its similarities to Final Fantasy, few capture the feel of the Platform game in a flash. The music heightened the "escape" sense, and RPGs are always fun, with or without plots.
I really loved the humor, especially the leap of faith from dungeon siege, the "humble plank" in the toilet, and several piss stains.
Only trouble was finding some items. The one items that, for some reason gave me trouble and not others, was the plastic. I could not find any clue to where it was, so, I thought it was so blatently obvious it would be in the open, but I managed to get myself caught several times before finding it.
No doubt newgrounds has been starved of new RPGs, and thank you for putting time and effort (cough, other rpgs) into this somewhat-festive game.

Paranoia responds:

Glad you liked it!

As for the plastic, sorry; I tried to add as many clues in dialogue as I could. And the whole shovel part was sort of a parody on ridiculous lengths you seeem to go to in some of these games to get simple items :P

Happy Holidays!
