No great graphics or fancy animation techniques, just a bit of fun. You'll be tapping your toes in no time.

A breath of fresh air from the usual crap. This was good because it was original, the graphics were above average, and the song was good. Good job

The music is the clincher, I just love that song. I think it is by far the best song ever written by Ronald McDonald as it made for a great commercial, plus gave Ron a chance to show his generousity by letting Booby Darin sing it. Great flash work gents iy is always a treat to see such high quality work, thanks and good luck. 5/5

Never seen anything like this before. I wasn't really too interested in the story line, but don't take that bad because it's just me. Overall, you have a great piece of work here, awesome animations and it had a catchy tune. Keep up the great work.

The use of a grey pallete, with touches of red was perfect for this flash.

"nice animation"

date: December 5, 2006

that was a pretty nice animation. some more colour would've been good in this one i think but the noir theme to this one was pretty good, nice old song to it too, great drawings in this one.... they were very very nice.
overall, this animation was quite good to watch, i enjoyed this one, glad to see it win an award too.

"Well now finally some culture on newgrounds!"

by: Praise

Just loved seeing this flash on newgrounds! Thanks for a little spirit boost. Alright so first flash review then some incoherent babbling on my part:

Black and white theme was very fitting loved the red touch!
Music a lot of fun of course though there's a break from the sound right at the end which isn't awful but breaks the mood a bit.
Character design was very basic and character animation not very interesting either. Although video-clipish in style there could have been more movement\animation.
I loved the women designing for a reason I'll talk of later.
Also a small problem which I see in many flash video clips is the scene repeating. Yes, it's plausible for video clips but as the animation was uninteresting usually it's use felt somewhat repetitive.

Babbling: YAY BRECHT! I don't know if you're aware of it or not (I have a hunch you are) but "Mack the Knife" is a song written for the play "Three penny oprah" by Bertold Brecht, originally composed by Kurt Weil. This is only one of the many jazz covers for the song.
Mack the Knife is he main character in the play while all the female parts heard of in the song are connected to him in some way.
The reason I'm almost certain you know all this is becuase of the female character design which could very well be quite accurate to Brecht's design.
Then again, maybe I'm wrong.
If you're interested, Brecht wrote for "Three penny oprah", other plays and just generally, many songs, most very well written, some thoroughly hilarious just as "Mack the knife" is.
I also recommend picking up "Three Penny Oprah" (or any other of Brecht's plays if I'm at it already) if you haven't read it of course and reading it. Great play.

"Wow culture, HERE???"

date: December 5, 2006

I always hoped to see something like this on newgrounds but never thought i would. Great job on a great song. I doubt most people here will apreciate it but still well done. one of the smoothest and best put together flash ive seen. my second favorite of all times. It doesent hurt that im a fan of classic music but well done.
