...don't really understand the progress meter and scoring system that well.
The progress meter moves every time I get a small airplane, it seems. Does it move back slowly with the score slowly reducing or is that basically like a time bonus for me?
My score was quite a bit higher than the rest of them on the chart and I don't think I finished *that* much quicker than everyone else so my second guess is the fact that I didn't die at all until the very very end (literally about 97% completion) and then my paper airplane got tiny again (it was HUGE before I died and very difficult to dodge artifacts in). So was I being awarded more points for having built up such a large airplane without dying? I know the instructions vaguely mention more planes = more points but they don't mention if the size of your plane or how long you go without dying making a difference?
It seemed too easy to me - especially since I only played once after a quick 20 second trial run (to see if the ceiling and floor of the screen would kill me)... I'm not usually too great at these sorts of games either so I dunno. Maybe I was in a zone or maybe the high score list just hasn't had any serious gamers yet. I might be able to score higher if I tried again and had a good clear understanding of the points system.
Other than that - nice clean feel, pretty decent control/physics/weighting... catchy/inspiring music that gets a tad bit repetitive as it looped about 2-2.5 times for me when I played.
Otherwise congrats on making a quality game with a unique theme, a somewhat "old-school" feel, and without relying on shock value.
