Does a baseball team that is down by a score of 14 to 2 in the 7th inning have any prayer of winning? If history or experience is your judge, then the answer is no.
On Sunday, August 5th, 2001, the Seattle Mariners were on their way to a record setting season of 116 wins, and they had the Cleveland Indians down by 12 runs with just a handfull of outs left to get. The score was so high, many of the starters on both teams were lifted from the game for much needed rest. It was inconceivable that the Mariners would not take another win away on this Sunday evening.
You don't have to be an Indians fan to enjoy the final innings of this game. You don't even have to be a baseball fan to be inspired by it. Take a listen and look at the impossible return.
I have fixed several bugs, intro and conclusionary music, animated the base-runners, and added player photos since the first release of this movie.
Credit John Williams for the music: Saving Private Ryan & The Natural, and credit Tom Hamilton, WTAM, The Cleveland Indians, & Major League Baseball for the radio play-by-play.

I'm at a loss
That was awesome. Couple of observations/questions...
- this shows that you don't have to be an incredible artist to make great flash.
- who was pitching for the Indians that night in the 3rd?
- It's funny to look back and see a guy like Taubensee batting 4th instead of Thome.

i was there!!!
i was at this game and i remember my dad saying we were leaving in the 4th inning! who leaves a game in the 4th inning??? anyway, we stayed until the end of the game, which was the best game ive ever seen, coming from a diehard indians fan whos seen a no-hitter and a perfect game over the course of my life. this game still gives me goosebumps when i think about it. great job on it. also, when tom hamilton is not doing the announcing, it is mike hegan, who also does indians games on tv

An amazing true story of beating the odds and capturing glory from the clutches of utter defeat. "Unbelieveable!" ^_^
