In Tri-achnid you play as an endangered species of exopod on the verge of extinction, in search of a safe heaven for his young the tri-achnid must fight his way out of the lithic alps by any means necessary.

To run Tri-achnid well you will need a good PC with Flash Player 8.

Read the instructions to learn how to play!

Interesting idea and well exectuted.

A most interesting game we have here. Controlling the Tri-achnid comes almost naturally after a little while of playing, and the web slinging adds nicely to the exploring nature of this game to get about.

As much as I enjoyed it, a particular level comes to mind as having an unobtainable grub, so maybe you could help us out: the repel stage has a grub near spikes that you only can get with a flyer bug, but after getting up there, I don't think there's a way to get back down again. Care to give us all a little tip on that stage for a 100% game?

All in all, I enjoyed the game. Original, well designed and good coding. Definitely looking foward to the next installment come 2007.

Komix responds:

Cool, someone found out how to fly.

The getting back is the hardest part I guess. you have still the bird and the rope. you just jump of against the wind and quickly pull the rope. Pretty tricky.

Or you sust roll over the spikes so you hit them with only one leg. and only short, but that's even harder I guess.

Freakin' Awesome!

Oh, man! I wish I had more time to play this. It's engrossing! Such an innovative system takes a bit of getting used to, but it's worth the effort.
I love the feel and the mood of the game and music. Fan-bloody-tastic.
The way the story unfolds kinda reminds me of "Out of This World" in that you're never really sure what exactly is going on.

I'll be sure to get back to this game. Maybe after I beat Warbears...

Kinda slow

Too bad each level takes FOREVER ... unlike most other flash games.

Make a DUO-achnid game, so its easier to move the fucker...

Try to optimize your code a bit so that it acts more like expected to the end-user :D

Excellent game all around

Great game! Really novel! The controls where much like Rag-doll kung-fu. Cumbersome, but you get used to it. Ingenious.

I only have only a few quarreles: I don't know how many times I lost because I accidentally grabbed/dropped that freaking larva sac. It was really annoying in the third level where you have to rappel, when I was trying to grab the string and ended up grabbing the sac and fell to my death. Sometimes I got hurt and didn't realise why.

I liked how you narrated the story with pictures, though. That was original and fun! A few other graphical notes: I enjoyed little things like, how the claws would open/close, how when you grabbed onto something, little debris would fall, and how the tri-achnid would glare when he was hurting the big worm beast.

The music fit really well with the game.

Took a while to get used to it, but I highly enjoyed playing it in the end!
