Pull down your blinds. Turn off the lights. Close your music.

Your name is Emily Mason. You are a real estate agent sent out to check a house. What started off as a routine investigation, quickly turned into something morbid...

This game is hard. Don't expect to complete it in 5 minutes. Take your time, look around and read the item descriptions. If you are stuck, here are some hints:
* Keys do not show up in your inventory, but work nonetheless.
* Rooms don't stay the same, so if you're stuck it might help to go back to old places.

"Decent Effort"

date: May 24, 2008

The game was pretty simple and short, and didn't require a large use of logic - rather the focus was on clicking on the right spot on the screen to get the proper items. The ending was predictable. The elements of the game were too closely ripped off of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for GC. As I was playing I kept saying, "Oh, just like in Eternal Darkness." I enjoyed the photography and the sepia tones, as well as the ambiance. The interface was intuitive so you get points there.

Author's Response:

Glad you caught the ED references. Among the best games ever imho.

"Nice art style, fun game"

date: February 23, 2008

game was too short and no really challenging puzzles but to answer some questions,
Aeternum Vale roughly translates to "Eternal Bid Farewell", which proves the houses owner was planning to kill the real estate agent, explaining the ending.

"creepy"

I felt nervous the whole time and the end freaked me out. The words on the paper what do they mean?

"pretty good"

date: December 31, 2007

i enjoyed it, although one bug you might want to fix is in the bedroom at the end. When you open it and the bottle of "liquid courage" appears and when you click on it, it dissappears right? But you can still click on it even after its gone and still mouse over it to read the description. You can also leave the room and come back and it will still be there (though invisible) just something you might want to check into, other than that awesome game and hope to see more from you in the future!
