Student work from my 8th quarter at the AICOC.

Aww. . .how Gizmo meets Widget.
And I thought Pandora's Book was a challenge. . . XD
This was my flash project for the entirety of the class last quarter. This was a project split between advanced 2d and advanced flash animation, the assignment being to produce a 90 second short with lipsynching and character acting with frame by frame animation. It took me the whole 11 weeks from concept to completion, and let me tell you. . .that was a crunch. I was literally coloring this thing up until the last hour of the last class. At this stage I am very happy with it. There are still some timing issues--I think this thing could seriously be 5 minutes long and feel better for it--and for my demo reel, I plan to work on that aspect. So this is in essence, a work in progress. I'd like to polish it further, maybe take it into after effects and really make it kick ass.
Flash couldn't handle some of the camera moves--apparently movie clips freak it out, so bear with the choppiness in some areas.
This was all hand-drawn animation--no tweens and no rotoscoping. I appreciate you constructive criticism, especially concerning the animation. Anything with which I can continue to improve my work. Thankyou.

Hard work and effort have paid off!
I can see what you mean about it being a work in progress as there is room for this animation to grow, but it was wonderful as it is. I really enjoyed the story and it has a deeper lesson embedded within it. Thank you!

DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED.
i was legit scared for that little bird thing when the camera zoomed in. Also interesting mixture of body parts on those pixie/elf kids that were flying around, it looks like you have some creativity at your dissposal, you should continue with whatever you're doing.
