Though I wasn't on NG at the time the attacks took place, I'm sure people did capitalize on it and try to get shitty flashes to pass, and I'm sure some of them did, that normally wouldn't because they are "sympathetic", so I understand where this movie is coming from. It is kind of amusing, since your description would suggest your are being "subtle" about this.

You complain about crappy movies, but to tell you the truth, this isn't a great movie itself. The loop skips a little bit, and the drawings and animations are complete rubbish.

"Bad, yet amusing."

The graphics are shit. The animation skips as it loops. Spelling errors abound. Yet this flash made me smile. Why? Because firstly, what this lacks in audio/visual power it makes up for in style. This thing BLEEDS it. The bad graphics and olde-style music accentuate the message being ever-so-subtly conveyed.

As to the message itself, I couldn't agree more. Right after 9/11 I quickly grew fed up with everyone's personal take on their outrage towards the attacks. Don't get me wrong, they pissed me off too, but damn... there's a fine line between mourning a dusaster and capitalizing on it.

Congrats, you made me smile.

To be honest, the art and animation in this movie are not that bad; and I really like the song. However, this is a completely inappropriate use of the NG portal. You could have made something genuinely decent with this animation, but instead you decided to just piss people off.

I agree with you that sentimentality over the September 11th terrorist attacks went to far as the months went by, but these are the United States of America after all, and taking things too far is what we do best. If you're going to complain about it, you can do it both more intelligently and more effectively than this.
