it gets hard when the big carrier comes out i got the last upgrade it's a butt kicker dudes let me tell you all something. that last upgrade is so good i got the top score but then someone else beat me so o well.

I love this control scheme but you need to apply it to something that makes it work.
There's this old midway game call sinistar. You should try to emulate that game using these controls.

It's a pretty fun game, I like the powerups. Lol. I only got up to the 4th one but it's still a really fun game IMO. Great work.
