I'm not sure I understand why this got front page. The humor was slow and uninspired, as were the characters. What happened to punchlines? It seems like comedy has hit a rather low note nowadays. This was a half-assed attempt at what could have been funny.
I would suggest mimicking others work before attempting your own.
