"Good for a Strategy Space Shooter"

I have just one boen to pick with this game, and that is more a matter of the fact that I have to use my laptop's touchpad to aim and fire -- which means that I miss significantly more than I would otherwise. I would appreciate the option to configure the arow keys to movement and the wasd keys to aim the turret (and q or e to shoot). The touchpad interferes so much that it sometimes causes massive lag. I'll get a new mouse sometime...
I do enjoy strategizing a little for battles, especially as my opponents often have better performance but less brains. There is quite a bit of variety involved, yet after a few rounds it becomes 'same old.' Maybe unlockable secrets (based on score, number of ships destroyed, base destruction bonus, etc.) would spice things up.
Maybe you could make a space trading-battle game too.
Enjoyable yet repetative and no configuration option for keyboard-only gets you a 7.
