What was meant to be an simple, improvised cartoon turned into a much more involved event.

It's based off the idea of using cheat codes to gain an unfair advantage; more predominantly, it's based on the various "ways to revive Aeris" from Final Fantasy VII theories placed about the internet. Some of them are quite ridiculous, and it's a ripping good laugh just reading them.

Note: The flash is very offbeat, and there are a lot of intentional factual inaccuracies-- in short, I'm saying the purists should be wary! I've taken liberties!

So, with all that said, enjoy "The Cheat Code Wizard Hour!"

"Lol, I actually used the bathroom break"

I'm with Arcticfang, the arrest is definitely the best part. By the way, for those people rating this zero and/or complaining because they think Aeris is meant to be dead, you didn't get this at all. It's making fun of people who want to revive Aeris. If the joke about mourning over Aeris didn't clue you into that, not to mention the rest of the whole video, that's sad. Try reading the author's comments too, there's a subtle clue there as to the purpose of the animation. And there's no need to yell at fans who didn't want Aeris to die. Cut them some slack. Haven't you ever seen a character die that you didn't want to? It happens in books, tv, movies, games, and even real life. It's often, as you say, "meant to happen." That doesn't mean it doesn't suck sometimes. So lighten up and enjoy the comedy of the cartoon.

Great flash! Just curious- is it a fake that you can revive Aeris by buying a rose from her at the beginning of the game in the japanese version? I've heard that and it doesn't sound too far out of line with usual cheat codes.

"Hilarious!"

date: February 7, 2009

Lol, this was completely insane. I wish more cheat codes actually were like this. Made up cheat codes in a show that sounds sort of legit is just too funny. Some of the reviewers below me who took this much to seriously were almost as funny as the video.

Frankly, I didn't mind that Aeris "checked out" of FF7, but I'd love to see her in Fire Emblem! Or to play as Johnny Quest in Mortal Kombat. And I'd especially like to see Goofy's end in game.

One part almost made me fall out of my seat.
I won't spoil it for people reading my review, but it involves an arrest.

Btw, to see a special second episode I wrote myself type in the cheat code :

Up, down, left, Q, 7, sixteenth note, NASA photo of mars, kidney bean, 42, Pi to 213 digits, and Alt+F4.

If your internet closes, you missed a digit of Pi, and you should try again.

"That Sucked"

date: June 29, 2008

That sucked badly. Aeris is meant to be dead! Get that in your thick skull. And what the **** does Mortal Kombat have to do with Aeris?! And besides, the only way is through cheat codes for Final Fantasy 7 smart ones (yells sarcastically).

Author's Response:

You watched the entire animation, and the only thing that didn't make sense was Mortal Kombat?!?! Nothing else waved a red flag?!?! Sweet bejeezus, I want some of what you're smoking.
