This was a rather ambitious project, the idea was to send out the pages of a sketchbook to NG members all over the globe, their task was to draw all over it and mail it back to me.
At the end of the project the sketchbook was reassembled and the finished version now rests at the Newgrounds HQ.
Since not everyone can visit the office to see the real thing, this online version was built.
It doesnt come close to the experience of seeing the real drawings but it does let you see what everyone did.
There was about 72 entries sent out, 61 returned.
All in all a successful project and this will eventually migrate into being a part of the redesigned ng site when it is released through the efforts of Stamper.
Thanks to everyone who participated, sorry you all hated that brown paper, lol. And I'll be running this again next year, using white paper. See ya next year
Some people were wondering how much this project costed:
72 entries mailed at approx. $2.50 = $177
binding = $5.00
3 sketchbooks taken apart = 3 x 7.00 = $21.00
GRAND TOTAL = $203.00

GAH! How come I wasn't aware of this?
Ohhh... If I had known about this project then I would have definitely participated. I'm quite an artist myself I'll have you know. Despite that, I enjoyed the superb sketches of others. I was actually awe-struck by many of them because of their absolute brilliance and talent. Looks like I'll have to wait until next year, oh pity. NEXT YEAR MAN! YOU JUST WAIT!

I saw the thread and thought you were just going to take some pictures and have it fall in to the depths of NG
but the book is nice, I flipped through...was there even 62 pages?
alot of you shiuld collabarate
and no "luis" not on a time trial on a collabarative flash liner movie

ok so, cool yeah
well i think it was kind of useless i mean c'mon what do you do with it??
and when i was reading the little message it said you can draw on it in the full version
true? or false?
Ummm some people understood this project and some people didnt. In the end I decided to upload to the portal anyway because the full version isnt releasing until the ng revamp.

only 3 of us didn't have the artsy button on... glad to be one of them :)
yeah, its a shame actually. I think the fact that it was a sketchbook scared away alot of the actionscripters. I think that it doesnt matter anyway its more about being part of the community than making a masterpiece.
