This is a short Asteroid style game I created over the last week to teach myself how to use ActionScript. It started out very very simple and grew into far more than I would have ever meant it to be. So I'm submitting it now in the hopes that I can stop tweaking it and move on to something else.
I know this game is simple and lacks a lot of things that could make it much better (crap like, of I don't know, let's say "enemies") but this was never the point in the first place.
Please give me some constructive criticism if you have any. I'll be making more games in the future.
BTW, what was your best score?

Great game
But 2 probs 1) I keep getting hit by invisible things and 2) you cant hold space up and left at the same time. Apart from that good game.

The game was good but the sounds were great.
I only got the score of like 104 beacuse every time I heard one of the sound effects I fell out of my chair laughing

Good but.......
I liked it overall but why is it that the faster ships could outrun their own bullets? And in a big scrolling plane like that reverse would have been nice. Really great though liked the sound effects!
Why can you outrun your own bullets? Probably because I build this game as an exercise in learning how to use Actionscript. I didn't really put the effort into it needed to develop a finished game.
Glad you enjoyed the sound effects. Doing foley is pretty fun.
