Full title: Bahamut in Around the Internet on 80 Websites
_____________________

A spinoff from the 'Adolf Hitler in Around the Internet on 80 Websites' series. There won't actually be 80 of these. I know I said last time, it was a single spinoff. I was actually going to make a second one about reviewing, but instead, I decided to make one about the whistle FAQ. I might make a third Around the Internet on 80 Websites sometime.

Enjoy.

Leave a review, I respond to all.

"Ah, the classic Whistle FAQ."

date: September 6, 2009

I remember having seen quite a few submissions of the whistle FAQ. One of them even got flagged despite breaking no rules!

Again I was shocked by both the Speakonia and the fact that there was a little animation. Although after having watched the previous one, this really shouldn't have been that much of a shock. It was rather boring sitting through the entire whistle rules, but I'm pleased that I did as you included a rant to listen to at the end.

While Speakonia may not be as good as voice-acting it certainly adds a touch of humour due to words being mispronounced.

A couple of problems I noticed with this was that the music ended before the whistle FAQ had been read in its entirety and the text was cut off in the preloader again. These two things didn't stop the flash from being most excellent though!

Lots of love, Rebecca Rose.

Author's Response:

I had very very little to no AS skills (and I still have very little now) back then and could have done with a skip option. However, the ability to not is an advantage since any flaggers back then would have to watch through it, lol.

Eh, didn't notice that mistake.

"I loved it."

Animation/Graphics - The entire flash wasn't the best quality, but it wasn't too bad overall. Like the quality of the FAQ page wasn't the best, but I think what you had of it worked out for the flash.

Story/Content - Wow, I don't know how many people need to listen to the reasoning behind this flash. Not only for blowing your whistle on flashes, but also for writing reviews. On top of that if people just left the submissions that they didn't like alone such as the Hitler series here then they didn't have to watch it and review it. Just leave the vote and leave the submission alone. There probably wouldn't be any need for review mods if people just left the submissions alone that they didn't like.

It caught me by surprise because I thought this was going to be just a simple picture with Bahamut there at a website or something like that, but it turned into a rage filled expression. I loved the concept all around.

Audio - I so wish you would have used your voice for this, but I think it's probably a good thing in the long run that you didn't because you would have had to read the entire FAQ section that you had there. So it did make the flash a little bit more uninteresting, but you saved yourself a lot of trouble in the end. Also, the music just kind of stops. :P

Overall - The message behind the flash is awesome.

Author's Response:

And this was back when there was only Adolf Hitler: ATWI80W. 80 was manageable, but the Pokemon series was overkill.

I didn't particularly enjoy listening to a speakonia voice telling me the whistle rules after I've read them a dozen times, but hey -- I guess it's needed.

I thought that like usual, Bahamut's design was amazing. I thought that the room he was originally speaking in was of nice quality as well, but... the whole whistle thing took far too long, and listening to that voice was painful.

After awhile, even the background music went away -- were you getting lazy towards then?

In the end segment, the text was far too late after the speakonia voice -- it was somewhat of a nuisance to have to wait for the text to come...

This submission felt like you didn't even try this time -- and I mean it. This isn't abusive... you just copied the rules onto the speakonia program and didn't even bother to sync the text with the speak.

Still, I enjoyed it! :D
(This marks my seventh review of your flashes -- only seventy-five more to go!)

Well, I'm just dissapointed that you didn't use your own voice for this :P

I've now seen another side of you - the side that can vent the anger at having a previous submission marked fro adminastrative review. I hope you've now had a chance to recover from this :P

Now I see where in previous flash you've gained the acceptance of using Speakonia when you couln't be bothered or have too long a speach to make :)

I've actually been a lot less lazier now than back then when it comes to working on Flash. :D
