Just want to say in reply to a lot of reviews that this is NOT an asteroids remake. Please call it anything else, but I didn't even consider asteroids when making it, and further into the game has no resemblance at all. Thank you.
This is the result of an attempt to create a simple but colourful addicting arcade shooter. Inspiration was taken from a number of places as well as a lot of my own ideas and techniques. My main challenge in the creation of this game was getting things to run at the correct speed. I used some optimising tricks to cut effects if the game was running slow, and i think i manages to pull it off at a decent speed.
I hope you enjoy it. I plan on making more of the style of game in future but only bigger and better with more advanced effects and game play options. I might do a sequel to this one, not decided yet.
Wow i thought it would only have been some clone or something like astroides, while it has the same idea you really gave it its own style very smooth controls, and i was impressed with the no lag and fast reaction, great game indeed, hope to see more down the road Some more color effects like in the backrounds, maybe even some stars A great game like astroids except very fun and detailed

Neon is an arcade style shooting game. It seems very similar to asteroids with some changes. If you allowed the player to reconfigure the controls, that would be helpful. Gameplay can slow down at times.
I got pretty unlucky with this. I managed to get everyone done by the time the fourth wave sign came up on the sign, but then I died. I don't think that's possible? Anyway, I was amazed at how difficult this game was. It seemed like everytime you broke something down, it flinged itself back at you! Those things were after me!
I still have to give you credit for having some really cool effects. I like how everything shined. It's not the most fun of games, but it did take some creativity. I always appreciate that. The music's pretty good too.
