Fortune cookies ARE American
Go to Asia, there are NO "fortune cookie" It's an American gimick
Like "Taco Bell" food and "Italian Dressing" and "Chop Suey" it's invented in America to please Americans.
It's just a gimmick to please .
BTW "chop suey" is "whatever's leftover" and Vinagerett is Italy's favorite.
