Hi all!
This was created long time ago but when I saw this site I decided to give it a shot. This bases on Half-Life's desert levels where a huge monster can't see you but hear the sounds of footsteps and other. Enjoy!

It was a sound file inside the game sound resource file. There were many others I didn't hear in the game.
