This tutorial teaches how to make buttons using AS 2.0. If it doesn't work with AS 3.0 (Flash versions CS3 or above), that's probably why.

This is a tutorial for beginners on how to make buttons lead to other frames. Please leave reviews on how I can make this better if it isn't already decent! Thank you and good day.

And also, thanks again Tom for adding this to Flash Help.

good but 1 mistake

actually hit is the area where the mouse has to go to go over the button or click it.

so you could have a square in up and half that square in hit .

so to click the button you'd have to go where that half a square was in hit.

any way liked it .

I've had flash and been making movies with it for two years and I've never known how to do that. Thank you.

Simple tutorial, and that's what we need more of. Really easy to learn buttons from this, although I use the preset actionscript to the left of the box. Hey, is that the music from the Koopa Beach track on Mario Kart 64?

blanblan responds:

Yes, in fact it is!

It's everything all in one!

Wow extremly easy was'nt hard to follow at all.And the music wow so relaxing.I can acctually make buttons myself and i indeed suck.I gave it a 10 in Humor because of the way the cookie in the kids hand looked.Anyway great tutorial easy to follow. If only every tutorial was this simple.
