This tutorial teaches how to make buttons using AS 2.0. If it doesn't work with AS 3.0 (Flash versions CS3 or above), that's probably why.

no offence but yuor tut isn't that explanitory and it doesn't tell you yuo the actionscript properley. If I was a noob (which I'm not,) I wouldn't really learn much.

finnaly a tutorial button flash that covers it all
not hatin on all the other tutorial flashes bcus they were good too, but this one was awesome, i originally learned buttons from other tutorials, but all of them didnt cover enough on actionscript so i had to ask the flash teacher in my school, but i 4got how to make buttons and this flash brought it all bak to me, thx, loved the novelty apple jack boxes lol

good but 1 mistake
actually hit is the area where the mouse has to go to go over the button or click it.
so you could have a square in up and half that square in hit .
so to click the button you'd have to go where that half a square was in hit.
any way liked it .
