IMPORTANT WORDS BELOW

This tutorial teaches how to make buttons using AS 2.0. If it doesn't work with AS 3.0 (Flash versions CS3 or above), that's probably why.

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

This is a tutorial for beginners on how to make buttons lead to other frames. Please leave reviews on how I can make this better if it isn't already decent! Thank you and good day.

And also, thanks again Tom for adding this to Flash Help.

Thank you!!

This really eliminates my play-button-wont-work problem!
And this teaches all about buttons!
~spoiler~
There are 3 easter eggs here, one is on the first frame, click the cookie.
The second is on the end of the flash, click the apple button.
The third, well, follow the clues on the the first easter egg, i don't wanna spoil all the fun do i? :D
And this works on my flash 8!

It's good

its good but when i type in

on(release){
gotoAndPlay(3);
}

it goes straight the game and doesn't let me press anything. does it matter that i got macromedia flash 8? or do i need flash CS3 cause i can get that for free off a friend.

blanblan responds:

No, no, I used Flash 8 to make this myself.

What you need to do is make sure there is a stop(); action on the frame, or maybe change the script to

on (release) {
gotoAndStop(3);
}
