Hey, everyone. I've changed my online username. I am no longer JonBro, and I won't be continuing anything that was made with the JonBro name. If you want to see an archive of my older work as well as what I'm up to now, you can find out here:

I started playing the series from "Riddle transfer". I've got to say that this game, compared to latter games in the series, is very low quality. It's short, very easy, and the music was just pretty annoying. But this is old game, back from when flash games were barely any good (mostly) and I must take it under notice. I give this 3,5. I think it's a fair grade.

This point and click adventure puzzle game is tricky in my way, very well planned and yet puzzling to me. If i were him, i don't know what i would do!

I usually do very detailed reviews of games, but with this one I'm going to make an exception. Going by the score you can tell I didn't like it - and I could write a review explaining all the problems that takes longer to read than complete the game. However, this game is almost 8 years old now, and I took a quick look at the later games in the series, which instantly look to be of a much higher standard all-round.

I don't recommend people start the series with this game - if you do, think of it for archival purposes only. I also think it's a pity this game is overrated in comparison to the later games - if this is a 4/5, the 3rd one would need to be at least 10/5 to keep things relative.

If the author would like a more detailed review he'd be welcome to contact me, but I don't recommend it, seriously, there would be no point. I'll put more effort into the reviews of the later games instead, and hopefully they will be more positive as well.

JonBro responds:

...Interesting. I can't say that I've seen a review like this before.

Though I very much disagree with the notion that there would be no point in offering a more detailed review for this game. For one reason or another, I don't get a lot of negative reviews for this game, so hearing some criticism from someone who didn't enjoy it would be (at least in my opinion) quite valuable to hear.

I also can't say I agree with the idea that all review scores should be strictly relative, or that 10/5 would ever be considered a plausible score for anything... or that it makes sense to write a whole review just to say you don't want to write a full review, because that doesn't really tell me anything about the game's strengths or weaknesses. What did it do right, if anything? What could have been better, and how? That's the kind of input I try to use to make better games.
