Hey, everyone. I've changed my online username. I am no longer JonBro, and I won't be continuing anything that was made with the JonBro name. If you want to see an archive of my older work as well as what I'm up to now, you can find out here:

If you know what to do you can beat the game in under 3 minutes.

JonBro responds:

You can beat the game in under 1 minute, actually. It's... yeah it's not a very long game

Easily one of my favorite flash games of all time. Still disappointed over it getting cancelled, but also grateful that Jon released the plot. Either way, great game, would recommend it to anyone! <3

I'm really going to miss the riddle school/transfer series they were an awesome group of games and my greatest memory of the series was probably when I showed all my classmates in the 3rd grade what riddle school was and thanks to this series I made a ton of friends. I also really appreciate the fact that even after the series was cancelled you revealed the rest of the plot so every fan could know how it was supposed to end. My friends and I still talk about to this day and it's been 6 years! Anyway to show my love for the series I decided I would review each game in the series. So here it goes they won't be too long but, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you.

First of all I loved the characters, they are all so memorable. To this day I still remember each of them for their unique personality's. Everytime I come back and play the series again I always go right to ms.Cophey's to look at the main group of characters and then comparing them to themselves in Riddle Transfer. I love how well you managed to make the characters unique and distinct from eachother even though every kid is bald in this game XD. Also, my favourite characters are Phil and Smiley because I can relate to them the most and I always imagined myself being Phil for some reason. Finally, (sorry if you've already been corrected for this but, there are eight students not seven.)

Secondly I'll talk about the puzzles and story. This game was definitely well done when it came to that because although it was short, my eight year old self ended up clicking everything in the room trying to figure out what to do next. Although now I laugh at my past self because I can beat this game in 26 seconds now with ease. Secondly, this concept was genius, because using the inspiration you got from Tom Fulp's Pico School and the Madness Series you made your own idea of making your everyday average student attempt to escape school and back then that was never something I would have done so it was cool doing it in a game.

Thirdly,, the odd(s) and end(s) I haven't talked about. I loved all the silly puns and funny statements that Phil makes about almost everything in the game. I got a couple good laughs here and there and I wanted to thank you for the effort you put into all those comments Phil says. Also the objects in the background were funny like the poster that says 7 (8) students and 56 lockers that made me laugh.

This game started what to me was one of the greatest flash game series out there and what really got me into flash games on Newgrounds. This was a great start to the series with it's only flaws being the length and the easy puzzles in the game. so I'll give this game a final score of 4/5 because I still come back to these games monthly and it's all because of the original riddle school.

Finally, I have three questions to ask you.

1. You said you originally had the idea of Zack's hair growing throughout each Riddle Transfer game, and I was just wondering if it would look like his hair in rs4. I know it's a silly question but, I have been curious about this for a while.

2. Were character's like Joe, Ms.Sleep, Ms.Count etc. only existent in Phil and co's dreams or are they potentially existent in real life due to Viz, Diz and Quiz perhaps spying on other schools and seeing them therefore deciding to implement them in their dreams to make them seem more realistic. I'm also very curious about this one.

3.Will Phil and the other characters make appearances in some of your future games?

If you read this review I just wanted to say thank you for your time and I can't wait to see what projects you have in store for the future.

JonBro responds:

Hearing that my game series helped you to make friends is a truly amazing thing!

I guess Phil might be relatable in part because I based him on the kind of student I wish I could be (as in, one who constantly makes snarky remarks and can leave school without any consequences). I'm glad you think the characters are unique, but I still wish I'd had the mentality back when I made this game to give them more distinct appearances. As for the students, let's see, there's Phil, Phred, Zack, Smiley, Greg, Richie, Chubb, 5... Oh. Oh, that's definitely eight. I'm not sure whether I've ever seen anyone point that out before or not.

I've been ashamed to say this because it's always felt a bit silly and juvenile in my mind, but I sorta have to credit my mom for Riddle School turning into what it is. She's the one who saw my Madness/Pico's School creation and thought I ought to tone down the violence and make something more kid-friendly, which I'm grateful for, because from that, it evolved into a sort of satirical commentary on the education system as well as a game anyone could play.

Now to answer your questions:

1. Yeah, I was thinking that Zack could slowly develop spiky black hair like in Riddle School 4. My logic for giving him hair in RS4 was that becoming not-bald was his defense mechanism for being too cold, but I guess I forgot about that weird logic when I started giving him hair when his head was on fire in Riddle Transfer. Having him look different from the other characters was my priority.

2. I made up the story for the series as I went along and have little confidence in my own answer to this question, but theoretically, the schools and teachers and everything look exactly the same in real life as they do in the transmitted dream world in Riddle School 5, and the only difference between the dreams and reality is how quickly each student registers the dream and how certain events were tampered with by the aliens.

3. I used to say, "Absolutely not," but you know, even though I don't have plans to make more games about Phil and his friends, I still hold them close to me and can see myself putting them in future projects as cameos.

Thank you for dedicating your time to writing such an in-depth message! I'm sorry it took this long for me to sit down and respond to your long review, but every word of it is deeply appreciated! Your comments and compliments remind me of why I made these games in the first place, and why I'm still trying to make games for people to enjoy when I can.
