Very Nice, but I hope the full release has more...
For a trailer game this is awesome. The artwork is beyond a doubt some of the very best I've seen. The attacks themselves were nicely animated, and the world had an overall fun feel to it.
As always I have to be one of those critical punks that points out every little thing that bothered them.
Obviously the world will be larger in the actual game, so thats covered.
The battle system is overly simplistic, and so is the equipment. Possibly adding different quality ammunition for each weapon, needing to level up proficiencies in attacks, etc would be nice. If you did proficiencies you could also have different attacks unlocked for each gun as it levels, making it worth while to play around with every gun instead of just hunting/upgrading to the most expensive.
The items system is simplistic in the sense of you know nothing except "Oh that NPC said this is the best". Adding a description page to items (attack strength, speed, accurracy, short description, etc), and possibly specialized attributes on some items would be cool too. ("Blade of the Thief" : +20% Loot || "Sword of Valor" : 2x Fame From Monsters... kind of thing)
NPCs on the map would be nice too. It'd add diversity to the world.
Maybe this was already there, but I didn't see it so... Placing the names of area on the actual world instead of having to continual check a map would be convenient.
The map could have "Battle Levels" placed on it under the region names, so that when the world gets larger you can still tell if your walking into a deathtrap. This wasn't a problem in this because of the world being pretty straight forward, but depending on how you setup Episode 1 it may be necessary.
I'm sure theres more I could think of if I played it a second time, but oh well, thats what last minute begging friends for their time is for, lol.

great job
you need a really nice job here. it also helps that im a big fan of rpgs. it got a little repetative though. but still really good. maybe have the weps a little more balanced. and more variety like abilities with weps and things if you ever make another. I havent beaten it yet but im getting there. great job and keep up the good work!
