I originally posted this on Newgrounds in 1999, before the current Portal system.
Your master is dead, and you're out for mindless revenge against everyone! Use the arrow keys to walk, "A" to attack, "S" to jump and "D" to block.
This game was made in Flash 4, which is why the keyboard input is laggy. Flash 4 didn't allow consistent keyboard input, so I had to fudge it to make the character move as smoothly as possible. I was tempted to fix it, but decided to maintain the crappy integrity of the original.
It is also worth noting that Flash 4 didn't support depth swapping, so it was a pain in the butt to make the characters overlap eachother based on their depth on the screen. I don't say this stuff to be boastful, I say it because I want people to appreciate why my old games are so crappy. These were the pinnacle of Flash programming at one point and I need some props!
The background art was by Michael Bregman. I did the rest!

Why repost this? I really don't get it.
I mean, do they not exist on the site in some fashion? Is this some sort of sick attempt to stroke your ego?
I don't understand. Tom, NG is fantastic, but this just comes off wrong to me.
Aren't you working on plenty of new and exciting projects?
I'd be way more interested to see that.

and.. this should be in rhythym games cos notice how the temple guards and draco dance to the music? yeah..

bad very bad
i didnt like this game cause when you was going to move you needed to click damn many times and i wanted to kill more smurfs

horrible
this game was an asshole, i can tell you that. The temple guards were too tough to be just guards. And you can't respond quickly enough. it pisses me off when the enemy hits you 7 times in a row and you can't even block any of it.

pfft
This game sucked, it was very buggy(when you cant move a certain distance). And there were only 3 kinds of enemies,Smurf,temple gaurdians, and Draco. How does that sound?!?!?!?!
