Originally introduced on Newgrounds in 1999, before the current Portal system.
Earth is doomed and the US is in a fight against Russia for control of a new planet! Your ship is entirely controlled by the mouse.
I originally made this game in 1999, but over the years NG has grown a lot and there was no longer a place for it outside of the Portal system. So here it is!

I must admit
I never played the original which is amazing because back then I used to be on newgrounds pretty much every day.
Well I thought the game itself wasn't that hard. The voices sucked, but I guess oyu did them all yourself?
It was fun while it lasted but I was only getting slim to none power ups :(
And I liked the Lenin type thing on the second boss.

an ok game its not the best game here but at least it isnt like other games like this 1 it does require more skill

Interesting
What can I say, this is one fun game. A few things to tweak though: You might want to consider decreasing the number of enemies a little bit. There are times when I had to sacrifice collision with an enemy just to evade a meteor. You might also want to scale down everything. Lots-o-enemies + big-a$$ boss + your ship = Not enough space. Overall this is a nice game to kill some time but not recommended for extended play.

I had almost lost faith...
But hyperdrive is pretty fun. I liked the voices, only for the intended lameness. (at least I HOPE it was intended) It was pretty good, and not suck like that damn toaster game... God I hate that toaster game...

Would of said nothing to new or interesting but...
The bosses were new and were interesting.Pretty good game.Old so i cant blame you.
