Full title: "Non-Skears-Game 005: Word Scrambles: Countries"
Work out 20 srambled country names. Letters are mixed up randomly. Names are in a pre-determined order.

Word scrambling brought to the world of flash. Graphics need attention to detail and to look more professional. Gameplay is just figuring out the names. Might be useful as an educational tool.
This was made on 5/4/06, and I am only the thirteenth person to review it.

This was interesting with the words and all. kinda fun, you could fix up the look of it with some deeper colors and shades for the layout, it would give it a bit of quality to it.

Glad you liked it. At the time, I intended to make it into a complete thing, with the name of every single country.
But the drudgery of that task put me off.
Making flags for the NGcalander meant I had to do that anyway though, so expect a sequel to this sometime soon. With a new layout of course.

Fun game
I usually hate word scrambles but the capitalization made it easy enough for me to find this enjoyable. As it stands this is more of a test of spelling abilities than deciphering the country names. One major gripe that I had is that I had to use my mouse to click the question mark to submit my guess. You should really add a hotkey like the enter key to do this, and then clear the text box on a correct guess. It would make playing the game a lot more fluid rather than switching back and forth from keyboard to mouse. Also, these were all word scrambles. Anagrams have to form a new word or phrase. Otherwise, good work.

The point with 'enter' submiting the guess and the text box is clearing is a great one. I'll have to learn to see if I actually can clear the text field...
These are word scrambles? Well, after looking up 'anagrams' in the dictionary, I realise I've been using that word wrongly... so thanks for setting me straight.
Btw, I give your review an 9/10 - constructive criticism/praise/enlightenment... this review offers it all.
The only way it could be better is if it had even more content. And maybe if the paragraphs were split into different lines.
Thanks again for the awesome review. I'll totally work on this game when I learn functions and arrays, so hopefully I can work on some of the criticisms I've gotten and you'll enjoy that version even more.

anagrams are only fun if instead of being a random jumble of words they are made up of other ones, for instance,
Lichtenstein could be "license it then"
Germany could be "my anger"
etc...
Go back to the drawing board!
I honestly hadn't considered that.
But I don't think every country can be made into an interesting anagram. I mean, for russia... 'airsus'? 'USSair'? Hmm... maybe I'm just disproving the point.
I would like to carry on with this idea though and obviously some folk enjoy it.

I think it'd have been nice though to know how you got on... or if the fact that the anagrams were random put you off from continuing.
