Hmm...

Let me begin by saying that I enjoyed this movie and actually sat through all the dialogue (except the Ninja flashback *cough* I "accidentally" skipped that). There was a tad too much talking; in between skimming over the character histories at the top, deciphering what the Frenchman had to say (c'mon, they're not -that- bad), and the regular story-related text, I'd say that the talking took up about 75% of the movie. The movie itself took me a half hour to watch, which is ENORMOUS for a Flash movie, but hey, I have to give you credit; having a good story and not meaningless action is what separates this submission from the thousands of others that are combat-oriented.

On the topic of the story, lemme just say that I'm Canadian. It was a little odd being portrayed as the evil army (hey, we're just sittin' up here minding our own business after all) but I really didn't find it so incredibly offensive like some others... Melodramatic much? Just don't make us look like cowardly wusses and all is good.

Anywho, the characters were interesting, and you put a lot of work into giving them all a detailed history. The Chicken Man I found was a little more... err... interesting... than Keegan Jr., the cliché 'uber mega super pwnify-dozens-of-enemies-without-taking-a-scratch' d00d.

Sound was rather average. Graphics were pretty crappy, but hey, it's understandable that in a story this long you don't want to animate perfectly everything. Try a little harder next time though, okay? It would be nice to see some legs move.

The random stabs at humour were alright. Sonic for the win!

That chase that went on with the overhead view was the best piece of action in the movie in my opinion. The fighting with the guns was decent (best being the Keegan Junior hanging by the rope on the elevator thing), the swordfights were a little dumb and repetitive, but hey, you have apparently quite a few more episodes on which you can improve.

A pause button would have been nice for the non-dialogue sequences.

No comment on the ending... Meh to cliffhangers.

Good work though. Voted 4/5. I can tell a ton of work went into this.

Keep it up, I look forward to Chapter 2.

k, im not saying its racist or anything but i just think its wrong how it shows a baby killing a whole bunch of canadians..... i personally wanted to see the baby die. please next time have voices or auto dialogue! it was sooooooo annoying having to push EVERY SINGLE BUTTON! plz have Canadia win! (i know its canada) but honestly, I HATE FRENCH PEOPLE. all french ppl i know are losers..... especially my french teacher... I HATE YOU! (yes she is french)

Cartoon warfare

Well, I'll give you the storyline. That was alright. But yeah, the graphics and motion stuff could use some help.

Not bad

The movie was OK, though I didn't particularly care for the graphics. Yes I know they were done on purpose. Yes I know you could clearly have made them better. Yes I know they are to add some kind of "zainy style" to the flash. The thing is though that we've seen this on newgrounds before a million times (arfenhouse, scrooge mcduck, ect.) and it's getting played out a bit. The novelty is gone. At this point when I see a flash like this I don't think "This artist sucks at flash", but I do think "Man, (s)he got lazy". Anyway, good flash overall, but I would try something else next.
