LOL normally things dont give me goosebumps, but this was really nice change of pace from all the other crap we have seen in Newgrounds. I really like it and i hope you do more.
Wow, this was a pretty cool as flash. it's good to see people from other countries get more into flash. the only thing I would do differently is have subtitles in thee flash, it gets annoying to look back and forth.
Overall, great and very creative animation and a cool song! Keep up the good work

What got you points was the background art. I like it alot. It is most likely me but it didnt really bug me but it made me think. You were zoomed out the whole time of the cartoon. Like it showed everything to much. Its me I know it. Like you know how some cartoons show it zoomed in right next the face and what not? Well okay you dont get points taken off of it though. Its nicely done. Respond if you can. Thank You
Reasonable work. Newgrounds being an English site (like most of the Internet...), it should have been submitted with English subtitles... this is the predominant negative point in an otherwise pretty good flash.

Very nice. Good music and graphics. It might be nice to write in an alternate subtitle option so that they english can be turned on or off, like on a DVD. That way, you could keep the Portuguese that you like, but also make it more accessable to English speakers. Good job.

Wow this short is packed with Depression. I like. It was almost relaxing in a weird sorta way. Well animated, Nice soundtrack, good concept...*Tear* For the loneless Bear. I feel happy for the little guy. Kinda give you the idea that he wanted to kill himself.
A beautiful little story. You created a great atmosphere and animated it very well. It would have been nice to have an option to see English subtitles. Felt like I was missing the true story. But other than that, great work! Keep it up.

The simple yet effective storyline and the emotional music really worked, doesn't matter that the words are in another language, we all get what the animation is saying.

I think this will be one of my favorite flashes... However I think you should atleast put the translations into the movie. It really sucks to have to look at the translations off the screen of the movie.

Very nice style. SHows that you care about your work. The colors were very well set, all in perfect harmony with eachother, nothign too drastic or dramatic, just right for the mood of your short. Too many people on NG makes crappy shorts and get good votes because they use some dated and lame or violent story, but you get good votes because you are actually good at what you do. You need to study some charcter animation. I'd suggest John K, creator of Ren and Stimpy, simply because he's brilliant. Your character deserves more "life" to it and less looped movements. Maybe think som more about the weight of the bear and how that goes in to it all. I jsut thought it needed some extra nice animation to go with your beautiful sets. Good work. Hope to see more.
if you made it in english then it could have a good chance of getting into the top 50. some of the looped movements didnt go with how fast he moved but still amazing work. the animation wasnt as good as the graphics though.
finally my 3 years of spanish helps. though it wasn't in spanish it was similar so that i could understand it enough. the story was cute but undeveloped.
that was amazing. i didnt even have to understand it. very well made. gave me a nice bubly feeling in my tummy at the end. good job

You are right Booby_Creepy, it was an excellent piece of work and the fact that most wont be able to read the words does not detract from it at all. In my mind it ads a certain charm to it that goes well with the drawing style you used.
This does not even need any words to get the point across. Very nicely done. The story was simple but carried a big message. I loved it.
Too bad that it´s in portuguese, I understood only about a 90% of the subtitles, since I speak spanish, but I liked this none the less, and has a very good message.
For those that want to know what was the deal here, the bear feels sad and lonely, and climbs to the three branch to jump off and kill himself, but then he see those birds hatching, and tried to help the one that couldn´t fly, he did not commited suicide because he had finally found a friend, wich is more than enough good reason to live.
This was really great, a nice story and the perfect song to go along with it. I do think, however, that it might've been even better without the subtitles, explaining the story, let people figure it out for themselves, you know?
By the way, are you from Portugal or Brazil? I'm brazilian myself, so I didn't really need the little translation, hehe.

that was a nice break from the chaotic violent and dark flashes that are always on newgrounds, although the spanish was a little anoying.
all the other flashes are about killing someone with a legendary sword. it was so sweet at the end. oh and fyi its not spanish, its portuguese.

Ok, that was an awesome animation. I really hope you speak fluent English, because the flash was in Italian or Portugese or something. I know enough Latin/Spanish/French to have followed the premise, but what really hooked me is how you weaved that guitar version of Claire de Lune into the plot (or the other way around). That was way cool, 5 from me.

It wasn't that bad actually ;) It may have been quite short, and it would have helped a LOT if you had just put a "english - french" subtitle option on it.

Tão bom ver brasileiros fazendo flash, é tão raro, mas são geralmente bons. Bom trabalho, bons desenhos, é melancólico e triste a única coisa que eu posso "criticar" é que pro final quando ele acha uma amizade você podia ter acelerado o passo um poquinho e deixado a animação mais feliz, porém a mensagem passa clara e o filme tem uma boa distribuição de começo-meio-fim.

i think the music works pretty well with the theme of the video... but his epiphany (discovering the will to live again) could've been accompanied by a livelier melody. artwork was fantastic; simple yet effective. as for style... there could've been more to develope the bear. for some reason, even though it was going to commit suicide, i just didn't sympathize with it. i guess it's because i don't really think anything is ever that lonely for no apparent reason.

the simple fact that you couldnt translate it in the movie but translated it in the comments shows that you probably riped this from some poor depressed whatever the hell language that was speaking kid.
... ok then, after reading other comments, i have found the language to be french. But hey, french sucks to. so does english; i am not being hypocritical here... why the f*** is every rule of this damn language broken at some point. but from what i hear french is more f***ed up than english. apparently you can learn the rules easily in a few weeks and spend the rest of your life learning the exceptions to the rules. so french sucks more than english.
as a matter of fact, any non-phonetical language with an excessive amount of exceptions or complex rules SUCKS; so all languages SUCK!!! anyone that speaks a language SUCKS. the only people that dont suck are maybe ANCIENT GREEKS and PHOECIANS.
the movie itself kind of sucked to. its so pointless. the bear and the bird should be shot, raped, and then deficated upon. i feel no sympathy for the bear cuz hes quite obviously a loser anyways, and the bird is a victim of natural selection, it should recieve no sympathy as well.

I love it. I LOVE it. The graphics were superb.. amazingly well drawn. Sound was top notch, would be very hard to get it even better. No violence, even a bit funny. The workings for a nice, fairly serious, great tale. I can't say anything more than this flash has met most every expectation of Flash Artists, and then some.

id say this was a cute more peaceful version of how to stop suicides, its very good story for kids and shows them maybe how the kid thats left out at school feels,and that one person that shows that they care can save a life. great job man , also great music in the backround

This is a good movie for someone who suffers from depression. It shows that there are reasons to live. Very nice indeed, and the quote on lonliness is very true.
This animation is touching, and is a really great look at depression. The drawing style hit the mood right on, and the music was fitting as well.

overall this is pretty well animated and the music ( guitar was it? ) was superb. it kind of gave of a depressing vibe though and i felt like crying myself shitless for most of it ( well done! thats never happened me before ) . i dont get the subtitles though. honest to god, would it not be better to sing the words rather than write them! and who the hell can read portugese anyway? great work all the same though, and i felt much better when he found hapiness in the end. well done!
Really; not since watching "Dad's Home" have I been this moved and impressed. When watching most films my mind and/or line of sight tends to wander but this held my attention all the way through and my first thought after it was over was "who can I send this to who'd appreciate it as much as I have?" I'm definately putting it in "my favorites".

Wow. Good story, I liked it. It's kind of weird because I read a review where a guy stated that he still hated emos after watching the animation, but like, Hello n00bs? Isn't that what anyone feels like if they're lonely? It's kind of annoying how people automatically relate depression with stuff like goth and emo.
That was the sadest story of a poor lonely bear I have ever seen. I actually felt sad that he was sucicidle. I was so releaved when the bird and him became freinds.
The background and graphics were excellent for the mood you set with that sweet music.

This Flash wasnt too great,it was ok. The graphics were good and It had a happy ending. I recommed this flash for young kids.Reminds me when i wached Winnie the Pooh as a todler. Next time when you make a flash you should put it in English. good job
Even though I didn't understand a word they said the graphics and storyline was good I understood it with the bird and the bear it was nice. This is honestly the worst thing iv watched all year on newgrounds. The author of this submission has artistic talent at best but that it, you'd have to be a total fruitcake to even consider spending any ammount of time makeing this. Seariously folks DO NOT watch this movie. It reminds me of Brokeback- it's something really gay but it somehow makes front page anyway.
I have to agree with the other gut that was a lame flash. I wouldnt go as far to sat it was gay though. I think if the maker made somthing with more purpose & prehaps extra sounds then it would be a lot better.

They are right, not much to improve on but I stopped watching about half way through because i had to keep looking down at my backround screen to see the translation. That was extremely annoying but apart from that what i saw was good.

i can speak spanish pretty well so the language wasn't a problem for me except for the fact that you misspelled many of the words simple ones like dos (two) for instance but besides that it was above average. i must compliment you, however, on your choice of music-claire de lune played on that string instrument i don't kno the name of was a perfect choice. you'll be great with more effort and/or experience i dont know which

The language is Portuguese i believe... correct? i love that language... for those of you who gave this a low score cuz you didn't understand it.. and i usually don't do this but... FUCK OFF. you don't know the language, you shouldn't be rating it. Go find something better to do, cuz in all truth, this flash was well made, and giving it a bad rating just cuz your not smart enough to at least follow the animation is just stupid.
I mean, honestly, i don't speak portuguese, i speak spanish, however i was able to pick up the gest of the story by the animation... sad, lonely, bear, has no purpose in life... finds a nest, helps a lil bird, gets sad when the bird falls, but happy when it gets up again. Bear is happy, finds purpose in his life. (a friend) the end. It infuriates me when people who don't speak any other language that english think we have to conform to ENGLISH, just because we live in America... pisses me off...

Good moral, not that great of animation and story. After you got past the meat of the story when the bear made a friend it kind of got boring.
I liked this movie a lot. I understand a bit of spanish, so the language wasn't a problem. The score was very nicely fitted to the film, and quite pretty.
I have to say however, a this is probably too mature a subject matter for much of the audience here, as evidenced by several of the preceding reviews.

Faultless animation and score combined with the serious theme make this a rare gem for NG. It's nice to see a simple, uplifting animation for a change.
My only criticism is that I don't believe the narration was necessary throughout. The reason for this is that the animation makes the theme and story perfectly clear.
The foreign language caused me to read the translation of the story first, which revealed the story leaving what seemed like no point in watching it. Luckily I did anyway and was pleasantly surprised at how well the story was undertaken.
The only line I thought was necessary was the final line, which was profound and beautiful:
"Loneliness is a deadly weapon, Even when there is no-one to pull the trigger."
Overall this was a very impressive addition to NG, kepp it up!

For everyone english: I decided to worte the review in PORTUGUESE because it's the language spoken in the movie and, I guess, the author. Yes, that's right: NOT spanish, portuguese. Don't come saying you know it's spanish because it's not.... even though I din't read any reviews. :P If you want my review translated, it's something like this: "Great work! Keep sending them in! everything is nicely thought nad the ending is quite something. Great phrase. (It's way off this, but oh well.) :P
I should say, as an brazilian myself (xD), that this movie is one of the best I've seen and the best brazilian one =P

This is a touching flash that moved me and made me miss my friends and family. Though in a different language, the animation spoke for itself (the translations helped too ;) though). Newgrounds is written in English. If you are going to put a flash on newgrounds it too should be in English. Not on the front page (Translation) and mispelled in English. I thought it was cute. Never mind that it wasn't in English...who cares as long as the story is portrayed. That looked like Portuguese to me, at first I thought it was spanish but the spellings are too different. I don't know, I'm no expert in languages but I thought it was good. Plus, if people take the time to read the translation and stop bitching about it then they might think so as well.
I think its a short touching animation. Gotta agree with the other viewer "Chewbacca" that who cares if its not in English, it was a well thought out and well done animation. Not like some of the senseless crap that some people put out... good going.

I really liked this flash i think that because it was not in english it was better even if some people say other wise i hope you keep up this great work its really nice and it carrys a great message :D

I really liked this flash. I really loved how you wrote the words in a different language, however most of the NG users are American, and can not comprehend the language. Thus, you should have used English Subtitles.
The graphics were unbelievable. I really enjoyed the graphics of the bear, and especially the scenery. The frame rate was exceptional, even though all the frame rate was the bear doing different activities, however it still worked great.
The music was simple background music that was really fitting for the flash. I really liked it, but I was mainly focusing on the subtitles. I also think that it could have been a little bit better if someone were to voice act the words. It was still great though.
Overall, the flash was really amazing.

It was a deep meaningful cartoon, not a cute cartoon. And to the Dill hole who said that what's the point of submitting something you can't understand, well, i understood perfectly and i don't speak a word of spanish. Pcitures can describe something better than words, words can only effect the people who understand them, but pictures can express feeling to every culture, art is a universal language, and this was an art piece. Thank you for making this. And i look forward to your next submission, no matter the language.

Que linda. That was a beautiful flash. Ignore the bigoted trash that can't count beyond the fingers on their hand. While most people on newgrounds are american according to some, which is a lie, alot of people understand atleast two languages I would hope.My friends who have submitted here are venezuelan, cuban, argentinian, spaniard etc etc. i can't believe some people can be so small minded and intolerant. Great flash, something you don't too often here.

The message was pretty good, even if I always had to look at your translation with one eye. Maybe you could have made an English version. The momentary (Spanish?) would be a little to hard to understand for the most of the NG-users.
This animation brought my tear ducts to 75%, and that indicates a succesful emotional story there. Great work.

The concept was a perfect example of lonely people .......it was also very very touching i give the concept a 5/5 as for the animation it pretty good , but not awesome , i give that a 4/5 ......you got a 9 there :) . good job !!
