8 minutes.

Made this in only 2 months for a competition and it is, in my opinion, very bad. I didn't have the time/skill for the art and the narrative/dialogue was really rushed. What I had in my head was not what came out. Not to mention that this was my first real fiction, conscious direction, 4x as long as any other piece I've animated (done in half the time), management of voice actors, etc.

I'm glad I fell on my face though; it teaches you a whole lot more.

Critique everything but sound. Also take into account my time limitations.

The theme is that the desire for freedom is not intellectual, but instinctual; the relativity of civility; and that freedom cannot be forced upon individuals. Freedom conquers all, but if you do not understand human psychology, it will destroy all too.

Very good

I'm not sure why some reviewers are criticizing the style of this work. I liked it - how it was strictly monotone, how the scenes and rooms faded into darkness. It seemed to fit. As far as the animation itself, the only time I really disliked it was in the very first scene (the fan blades rotating, which was done rather poorly). Other than that, the frame-by-frame was pretty good. Quite enjoyable.

Thanks for the review eeskildsen.

Gayer than AIDS!

Hey, this is the greatest flash movie I have ever seen, especially because I am in it ^^ Check me out as the guy who yells "Cover me!" and gets shot!

Seriously though, I had my doubts before, but it looks like you pulled it off nicely. Looking forward to Odyssey Cheppy.

BaconisGood4You responds:

Thanks for the review. "Greatest" flash movie...the whoring is too much.

Oh, and your job (from profile) says sexual athlete. I don't know how you accidently wrote that in instead of bus boy, but theres a heads up.

hmm

when was this set? cause if its during the american revolution its really innacurate...(automatic rifles...) and if its set in the 20's or something with lots of mob bosses then it was a little off still... some of the guys were talking like youd her from marines nowadays... still good but didnt make sence at some points to me

BaconisGood4You responds:

This is definatly not set during the American Revolution. It is an American Revolution, not THE American Revolution. Although it is designed as the American revolution gone wrong (ie, King, books by Locke, Paine, Aristotle, etc).

I do admit that I did not do much research into 20s slang, you are right there.

Thank you for the rview joesmokem2112, and sorry for the confusion.

Nice

I liked the style and the story alot. The only thing that put it down a bit for me was the graphics, they are very good but i recon they need to be polished up like you said.I would like to see this remake. Nice work.

BaconisGood4You responds:

Thanks alot for the review Spokaroonie.

I probably will remake / polish this movie. Be it in a few months or in a few decades I don't know. It does need some more work, but I'm burned out right now.

proved me wrong..

at first i was skeptical...the voice acting was a bit cheesy and the animation botched.. but as it went on the animation actually seemed right and the plot of it was good as well, along with the nice fire fight sequences, this is a good peice of work, =p 4/5

BaconisGood4You responds:

Thanks ViciousViper. It really does start weak, I agree. Especially the first conversation...I really rushed that obviously.

Next time I will take much more time with my animation and ensure evenly distributed goodness.
