Second half of the 19th century. The Poet struggles to live through his fiancée's unexpected death. He finds refuge in writing.
fukin brilliant!!! great work
confusing, nice though
This was an amazing piece of work. In response to Esn's comment, I do get some what of the same feeling I get after watching Metroplis (1927 Fritz Lang)..which is indescribable. amazing..keep it up.
I...am in awe
I probably interpretted this a bit differently, but oh well. I really....really enjoyed this. *favorites*
That was interesting.
That was pretty good. I didnt quite understand everything that was going on throughout this movie, though i did understand the general idea of it thanks to the author's comments. I guess it was a little unclear in the way that you presented it, but this definitely turned out for the best. It got me thinking of the finer details and what everything meant specifically. I just loved this though, even if there was no point in this, it would have been excellent thanks to the strong graphics, style, and sound. In particular there is nothing i would like to change in this, so here is my review.
The graphics were incredible, they werent quite the best ive seen very recently, but they were still fantastic. I was surprised with how successful the backgrounds really were despite being fairly simplistic. There were only a few rocks, some very distant mountains and fog. But that style of background was perfect for the feel you were trying to achieve. They appeared very desolate, and just made the movie feel almost freaky. The drawings were pretty awesome too, as well as the characters. I really liked them in this case, because obviously they were well animated, but they were unique. This can be seen just on the main character's nose. The animation was very good as well, smooth, good facial expressions and detailed movements. The style was awesome for more reasons than the animating style. Everything just appeared cool in this movie, from the characters to the general presentation and the idea. And this is different for me because not too many artists can make everything seem so interesting or cool. Well the idea was sort of vague, the finer details didnt really go with what the authors comments said all that much. But i still rather liked how it was done, and for all i know all the things in this could have been metaphorical. The presentation was actually pretty amazing. The visuals fit perfectly, the music accentuated the mood and feel and this was all very atmospherical. I could not have asked for anymore what so ever for the presentation. The length was great, but the one problem i had for the style is that some scenes didnt really seem to fit in with most or all of the others, but this certainly wasnt a big problem. The sound was excellent. As i said the song really did add to the mood and feel positively. It was actually a perfect choice for this type of flash. But as i have said with so many reviews before, i find it hard to give out 10's for sound when there is only a song playing and no sound effects or voices.
Overall this was a very well animated, unique and well presented movie. I was extremely satisfied with this final product. It seems that like your other submissions this one had some sort of message or important meaning behind it and thats what i really like about you as an artist. I just hope you can keep this up with your future submissions!
