Second half of the 19th century. The Poet struggles to live through his fiancée's unexpected death. He finds refuge in writing.
I loved this thing. Brilliant storytelling.
But just watch. This will be on the front page of newgrounds for around half the time that Ultimate Showdown was, maybe less. I've read reviews for shit 10x lamer than this that were more charitable than a stripper giving a paraplegic* a lap dance.
Your art is great. You know how to animate. Notice I didn't say you know how to animate in flash, but that you know how to animate. So much more than simple tweens. Very good shadow play, in fact, the best I've seen in a flash movie.
Music was a nice change of pace. Good to see real metal on newgrounds, not System of a Down or Limp Bizkit. It was a surprise when it cut to the metal... I wasn't expecting it in a movie like this. It worked wonderfully once things began to get twisted. ;-)
Maybe the pre-pubescent crowd won't get this, or will respond with things like "WTF?", but trust me, everyone else appreciates it.
*Did I spell that wrong? Who cares. By the way, I have nothing against strippers of paraplegics. In fact, combine the two and you'll have quite a good time.
this is SUPERB
this is what i call a FLASH NOVEL a great little story with speechless ending , i love it , i simply love it, make more of that i will watch them all for sure !
if you look hard enough, you get the meaning, it's very deep and emotional. the grafics rocked, but the guy's nose looked like it was hit by a tennis racket! overall, i give it a 9, it was beautiful!
