"The Adventures of Harry Cadaver" started as a bizarre idea of a dark, yet comedic, children's pop-up book. The main source of inspiration was taken from Edward Gorey’s many Victorian drawings. To make all of the characters as paper-like as possible, they were all drawn by hand, and scanned. The idea evolved into being seen through an old black and white camera.

1) Pull Tabs For Excitement
2) Press The Rhymes To Continue

This was done as a final project for school last year, while the audio was added in later. Unfortunately, the fla. is corrupt, and so there is no preloadeder, so please be patient as it loads. As well, the button on the fireplace scene is stubborn...click it repeatedly. In fact whenever in doubt, click repeatedly! Thanks, and have fun!

It was magical... yes magical.

I very much enjoyed the style and animation so much that it took me back to my years of Alice in Wonderland (I believe this was mentioned already but it applied to me too). Ah yes, too many flash these days have to be all jazz and special effects based. Keep it simple and to the point I say, and there's still a good story underneath!

Keep fighting the power.

nice idea

The idea and style of being able to pull things and something happen on the screen is great. Its really like children playable books.

All was great except the limited sound and the story.
The story was very bad , it didnt interest me at least a little bit , it was so random and bad-telling.

Thansk for your comments. I'll keep them in mind.

Interactive books rock!

Reminds me of when I was little...with those books w/pull tabs. I dig it, very creative, nice sound fx and just plain amusing.

Scatterpatch responds:

Glad you liked it!

nice one

that was a pretty interesting and original animation. i liked this one. great graphics, good audio, original, and it was a blast to watch. it had a pretty cool concept behind it too.
overall, that was a pretty sweet animation. good work on it.

Scatterpatch responds:

Thanks!

Good work RUss.

I liked the flash and the whole (as every one here mentions) early 20th century cartoon feeling. Keep up the good job RUss, or else...

Scatterpatch responds:

I'll try...
