*please be patient its 3.7mb* The Maya believed that their world would end on Dec 21, 2012. Of all the dates put forth by prophets and cultures for a doomsday, this is one with an authentic almost eerie feel to it. This idea is put to end of the world by cold. 8 weeks to make.

"Good flash, but only one problem..."

date: October 3, 2009

The Maya only predicted the end of their calendar. What happens when a calendar ends? It gets thrown away and people go to the store and buy a new one. Their long count(In the power of 20s) was based on ages, when the calendar ends, a new age has begun.

In other words, the Maya predicted the end of their calendar marked in the end of this age, not the end of the world, many people, including journalists misunderstood the calendar, and all that "end of the world" nonsense spread the entire country, leading to a result of millions of misinformed humans who every time they see a countdown, they think the world will end. That is a lie.

The world isn't going to end. Every time a long countdown is shown and is believed to be the "end of the world", it will always be a false alarm(unless it's attached to a giant nuke that can blow up a planet the size of Jupiter).

All that 12.21.2012 nonsense was gone, almost everyone stopped believing in "the end of the world 2012", until this flash and the '2012' movie got too carried away with this myth, and now, all the minds of all newgrounders are now in danger of being manipulated by this "12.21.12" myth.

10 for showing effort and good music

-7 for choosing this myth, I disliked it because the myth was closed and resolved

3 in total

But, it was made in 2006, and the myth was already gone in 2008, and then, the 2012 movie was made in 2009 as a parody and it backfired by a group of people who knew it was a moron's false alarm, so they watch it anyways just for the action, not the story nor the so called "truth".

Okay, now I'm done talking as you noticed, I said too much here that most of you got bored reading this.

"Nice Video!"

But, the Mayans predicted the end of the world was caused not by war, but a rogue planet, covering the sun from it's rays to us, aliens destroying everything, meteors, fire urupting everyware, and the earth EXPLODING! It will be all hell broke loose. Anyways, Nice Video!

"D-D-DU-UDE!"

Nice video of 2012, but like TDMserenity said... IT'S SCARY THIS FLASH! IT FREAKING IS! I found it scary cause it supports the idea that something horrible is gonna happen on the 21 (or 23) of December, 2012! Mainly it doesn't frighten me that I'm going to die soon, on the contrary, it frightens me that everyone is gonna die!!! PLEASE GOD SAVE US FROM THIS HORRIBLE FATE THAT MAY AWAIT US! Here's some information of the 2012 doomsday prediction: The 2012 doomsday prediction is a present-day cultural meme proposing that cataclysmic and apocalyptic events will occur in the year 2012. This idea has been disseminated by numerous books, Internet sites and by TV documentaries. The forecast is based primarily on what is claimed to be the end-date of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012, along with interpretations of assorted legends, scriptures, numerological constructions and prophecies.
A New Age interpretation of this transition posits that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation rather than an armageddon, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a newer sociopolitical age for the global communityIn Christian theology, Christian eschatology is the study of its religious beliefs concerning all future and final events (End Times), as well as the ultimate purpose(s) of the world (i.e., mortal life), of humankind, and the Church. Where eschatology (Greek: %u1F14%u03C3%u03C7%u03B1%u03C4%u03BF%
u03C2 eskhatos "last," %u03BB%u03BF%u03B3%u03AF%u03B1 logia "discourse") refers to doctrine that represents a history of inquiry into the concept of the destiny of all things, in Christian context, this inquiry is vested in the prophesied purposes of God as documented in the Bible. ANYWAY AWESOME FLASH DUDE!!! (9 STARS!).
