Lord of the Flies Trailer

EDIT: Please read all of this if you're concerned about my interpretation of the book.

Hey everyone, it's my much awaited second submission!

This was a project for my English class that also doubled as my Honors Art assignment. Basically, we read Lord of the Flies, and I asked if I could do a Flash Trailer for it and my teacher(s) agreed. So note, the actual Lord of the Flies movie will never be made, just this fun little trailer. This is the basic version, anything that's going to get changed will be very minimal..

Comments are highly appreciated! I hope you all enjoy!

Alright, here's the deal, since I've been getting a lot of reviews dealing with this.. this trailer is supposed to be a MOVIE trailer, and so it is dressed up LIKE a movie trailer, and therefore misses the ideas that the book was written for. I know Lord of the Flies, and no, it's NOT about some kids on an island fighting for survival, it's about the inner struggle with our primal evil. (My mother is an English teacher, I know how to nit-pick a book and understand the themes and allusions inside it.)

Thank you all for your concern that I flew over the point, but please take into consideration this was made to appeal to the masses.

@DarknessSeifer the voices sound like that because they were ripped from the 1960s version of the movie. the beginning scene is most likely voiced by the author of this animation, seeing as how the lord of the flies never actually spoke in the movie.

Would be 10 if not for tech problems

Although the voices were hard to hear sometimes and the volume levels were weird, it portrayed LotF like it was a fast-paced and exciting book (which it isn't.)

Mistake..

when Jacks says they can relight the fire and jacks says there was a plane, there wasnt a plane, it was a ship they saw.

great book, great trailer

i just read the book a lil while ago. ive watched both movie adaptations and didnt enjoy them, it deserves a good movie but directors like to fuck stuff upp even when they dont have to. any way great vid

Looked authentic.

The enitre time I was watching this I felt like it was an actual trailer for a movie, it was really well made. I like how you used the voices from the actual movie, I just watched it. I really enjoyed that book, good job for sticking to the plot. You made the sow's head impaled on the stick look very scary, it was a nice effect. The way you drew the characters, especially Piggy and Simon, was very creative, I like your style. Keep up the good work!
