Heh

Hillarious. great concept, great animation. I love the simple blankfaced unshaded mangastyle drawing as well, actually looks pretty funky! I have no complaints about this, overall great stuff . . . keep it up!

^^Good Points^^
I think it's movies like this that really show what an author is all about. You had to have put a lot of effort into this movie, and it really shows throughout. It's really unflawed in terms of graphics. All of the animations are very clean, and the drawings were all scaled well and looked realistic.

^^Needs Improving^^
I'm still a bit confused by the storyline in this, as I'm sure most people are when they watch this. I would have liked to see a section after the movie where you just explain the motivation in this. Or perhaps just in the description.

Quirky but cool

There's probably 3 tires of animation, and that was upper middle level nearing professional standard. I really enjoyed it's simplicity of the animation but I can see how much effort was put into it, and it really shines through.

This is at it's root a music video, so I'll start by commenting on the audio track & syncing. I really liked the song, really catchy and the character and cinematic style reflected this oriental song. And in an impeccable way to boot.

I loved the story behind this movie too, so random and strange. But really suited the Japanese song aswell. It was really good

And there was no lag at all :D

Thanks for the info on Lag! I was wondering if that would be an issue on some computers. The next animation will be a lag fiend if I don't keep myself in check.

This is a shinging review, that was very supportive and nice. It would be nice if some comments could be made on how I could improve.

Overall, I'm glad you liked it. Though it would be nice to hear some critque even in a generally postive review.

I liked this flash. I think the drawing style is all right, even though you could have spend more time adding some details to the background and to the characters, but it's good as it is now.

The music is of good quality and quite easy to understand, even though subtitles may have been nice for this.

At first the scene changes seemed a bit weird, but it all makes (more or less) sense at the end.

I liked how you added some humor to this quite serious theme (for example, the girl complaining about the small blood staint on her shirt while in the background the other girl is covered in blood from tip to toe).

As you asked in the Review Request Club if this lagged on any Computer: No, it didn't lag, even though my PC is quite crappy.

Skaijo responds:

Very good review! I love how each critque is supported by an example that is clearly referenced. Also, thank you for letting me know if you experienced lag--with some reference to how powerful your computer is.

Very good review--stunning accurate and valid and all points.

Impressive Work

While I'm not particularly the biggest fan of the animation with 'fbf' style lines, which seem to flicker between 2-3 locations on an animation, you seem to have made this work.

I think that they are acceptable in the cas of things like fabric flapping in the breeze, or muscles under lots of strain, but that would show me a heightened sense of it, rather than how you have put it at present, with it constantly 'flickering'

Anyway, the musi cvideo is nicely done and it portrays the epic struggle of teenagers worldwide fighting against the use of drugs. It's certainly an animation with deeper meaning, so kudos for that :)

I'd spend more time drawing your characters, as they look vastly different in some scenes. Continuity is a must, I feel.

Skaijo responds:

I didn't understand what you meant here:

" I think that they are acceptable in the cas of things like fabric flapping in the breeze, or muscles under lots of strain, but that would show me a heightened sense of it, rather than how you have put it at present, with it constantly 'flickering "

And would love if you could send me a note sometime about what you meant. I think there's some really valuable information in there.

" ...it portrays the epic struggle of teenagers worldwide fighting against the use of drugs... "

I like to leave my animations up to interpretations of which yours is certainly valid. I find it really intersting that so many people think that Trip is a narcotic of some sort, and that the boy in the animation is somehow struggline with a drug-addiction.
